When it comes to hair stylists, Oribe is something of a bad boy. The tattooed star is known for working with the likes of Jennifer Lopez and plenty of other pop icons. That’s why you should take his word for it that this cream is the difference between the usual out of control mop and a polished coif. The multitasking formula acts as both a leave-in conditioner and a styling cream, helping to calm and smoothe coarse, thick, or fuller hair.
This product immediately gives my hair a soft workable feel every time I use it. It keeps my hair in control even in some of the worst humid conditions. Love it!5
Bought this product over a year ago and used it without much afterthought. However, as my pixie grew into a short bob I thought I'd give this product a second chance. With frizzy, thick hair that dries into wavy but uncontrollable hair, I've tried so many products that promise what this product ACTUALLY delivers. Sometimes, you just have to admit that Oribe always knows what's best.5
If you only ever try one Oribe product, this is the one! It smells amazing, adds shine without weight, can be used on wet or dry hair. I love getting little whiffs of it thought the day.5
Keeps my hair moisturized and shiny. VERY very happy with the product. It's not cheap but it lasts a long while. Another must have for me.5
my hair loves this product! i do not have flyaway hair anymore - my hair feels smooth and silky - i love the way it smells awesome.5
I don't know why it took me so long to realize this wasn't just a styling cream, but a leave-in conditioner. I find it very moisturizing for my hair, making it soft and shiny. It's part of my routine now.
Just a note: if you are trying to use it with Oribe's Balm D'or Heat Shield, the formulas don't work together. If used together, they start to curdle on the hair, forming sticky, white "boogers" (for lack of better term) that you have to rinse out. My advice is to choose one or the other before you blow dry; don't try to use both.
I started going gray very young, and although I color my hair, the texture has changed because of this. My hair can be coarse and dry-looking, and if I don't condition well, the blond locks can look more like hay. When my stylist recommended this cream, I balked at the price. But it works wonders on my hair--it makes it smooth, shiny, well-behaved, and healthy. It gives me a little texture and volume, too. I just use a little, so a tube lasts a long time. Unlike other products I've used (I'm talking to you argan oil), it doesn't make my hair at all stringy or oily either.5
While the shampoo and conditioner fall short, this product is amazing. If it's too heavy, try the Light version which is unfortunately not sold on Birchbox.5
Bought the travel size to try it out. Works as well as my Keratase products. I wanted to change things up since I've been using Keratase forever.5
I loved this conditioner so much I bought a full size bottle. No, it wasn't cheap (by hair product standards), but it keeps my hair from looking dry and I use it in place of other hair products which tend to weigh my hair down and give me a greasy look. A little goes a VERY long way. I've had my full-size bottle for over a year now and I use it daily.5
