When we first started painting our nails, we relied on bottles of acetone to whisk away old polish. Nowadays, even the thought of inhaling smelly fumes is enough to give us a headache. That’s why we’re hooked on these biodegradable pads. Instead of chemicals, they’re soaked with a sweet-smelling citrus solution that clears away old polish and leaves our nails moisturized and conditioned.
A single pad of this remover took off all the dark red nail polish off of my nails with little effort. Unbelievably, it smells great and I don't feel like I am rubbing alcohol or acid on my nails and fingers . There's a bit of an oily feel when it's wet but it dries away. I don't think I'll ever go back to using regular nail polish.5
This is one acetone free nail polish remover that actually works. Each packet is enough for a set of nails. It is super handy for traveling . You can carry it on board.5
These work well but you need a few of them to take polish off all of your nails. May get expensive to use all of the time.2
I am quite disappointed in these. It took 2 pouches to take polish off. And it left my fingers and nails so greasy!1
I was skeptical that this product would actually work without smelling terrible, but I must say I was impressed! I got a sample in my monthly box, and it really took off the my nail polish (even notoriously difficult-to-remove red) and didn't leave my room reaking of chemicals. I just purchased the 20 pack, and I really don't want to use any other nail polish remover again. And there is the added bonus that since they're individually packaged, they're perfect for travel. Thanks Birchbox!5
Would not even take polish off one nail without scrubbing and scrubbing, much less 10. And I wasn't wearing topcoat, so it shouldn't have been too challenging.
One star for having a pleasant orange fragrance and being acetone-free and bio-degradable.
These are great for travelling, when you don't want to risk spilling remover on your clothes. They have a pleasant smell, and you can keep them in your purse and use them anywhere. My only problem is they do not work when I have used my quick-dry topcoat. On regular topcoats and plain polish, the require some rubbing, but get the job done. They can't cut through the quick-dry, though.4
This is another product that I got as a sample in one of my boxes from Birchbox and I loved the fact that it actually came without the smell of chemicals. Even my cat, Sufi, appreciates that and my husband won't let me use anything else since this product works and works without the horrid smell associated with even the "Best of the Best" products that are also Acetone Free. Plus I love that when I toss the used pad in the toilet I know I'm not harming the environment since it's biodegradable. Yeah for the concern for out planet.5
Wow! It smells great & works! One pad removed all 10 fingernails worth of OPI glitter Polish. That's very impressive! I do like the oily finish as it does not dry out my nails. This is an amazing product!5
It smells much better than most nail polish removers, but it took a lot of effort to remove my nail polish. I probably wouldn't buy it again.3
