When we first started painting our nails, we relied on bottles of acetone to whisk away old polish. Nowadays, even the thought of inhaling smelly fumes is enough to give us a headache. That’s why we’re hooked on these biodegradable pads. Instead of chemicals, they’re soaked with a sweet-smelling citrus solution that clears away old polish and leaves our nails moisturized and conditioned.
This was surprisingly great. I had low expectations and didn't even expect that this would remove my entire pedicure with one packet. It worked great! Absolutely great for travel! To be honest, the cost of these is a little steep for purposes of replacing normal remover but would be great for travel.
5I paint my nails at least once a week, and I hate the way remover dries out my nails. This stuff leaves your hands feeling freshly lotioned! I use a base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat, and one pad got off everything from all 10 fingers. I don't know if it would have been as effective with a bright color (I was wearing nude polish). Despite the price I might buy a pack of these! I'm very impressed.
5I used one of the sample pads to remove red nail color. I did not feel like one pad was enough to get the job done for all 10 nails. The red color bled onto my skin staining it to where I had to break out my acetone polish remover to finish the job. I am all for a more natural product, but this one just did not work for me.
2I had light pink polish on my nails and used one pad to get it off. I had to really bare down hard on my nails to get the polish off. The pad was very little and it barely took off all 10 nails with polish. The best thing was that it moisturized my nail beds without drying them out!
3I received two samples of this product in my June 2015 Birchbox. As someone who often paints her nails (and gets manicures), this product is definitely applicable to me. It smells great, which is awesome considering how awful the $1.99 CVS-brand nail polish remover smells. You don't need cotton-balls. The first time I used the sample is was to remove a very light pink-colored nail polish from my finger nails (Essie's Mademoiselle). That was great - very convenient and effective. However, I used the second sample to removed a darker purple color from my finger nails and I found that this product was not as effective at removing the polish. I ended up reverting back to my CVS-brand nail polish remover to get my nails clean. Overall, really convenient and smells great.. not necessarily as effective as regular nail polish
