We close our compacts and screw on moisturizer tops, all to keep dirt and dust away from the products that touch our faces. But somehow makeup brushes get tossed around in cosmetic bags and left on vanity shelves. That’s why these brush guards are perfect—they keep our tools clean and protected against all the yuckiness that builds up.
When receiving this in my September box I thought that they forgot to put the item in the plastic bag with the instruction card. And then I logged in on here and saw that all this thing is IS A PLASTIC BAG. I would NEVER purchase this and I am totally bummed that I got this stupid item in my box. This is the dumbest idea ever!1
This is one product that's going right in the trash.1
The hair from my brushes got stuck in the mesh and it actually made my brushes worse. Do not recommend.2
These guards don't really keep brushes clean because they have holes all over them. They're like those Chinese handcuffs from my childhood. I was expecting something like a sleeve to fully cover the bristle part that would protect from spilled liquid or powder - these don't do that.2
But I didn't have much luck with these. If the brush would move, bristles would get separated in the mesh. I'm not going to be taking my chances!2
I looked forward to trying these brush guards as I have never had any and desperately needed some for my larger powder brushes. Unfortunately these little guards are slippery suckers and once you put them on your brushes they slip up and down as they please while allowing some of the outside brush hairs to slip through. When you are ready to use your brush and pull off the guard you have some of your brush hairs sticking out in crazy ways. Not good.2
Didnt use these, but got them in the box, its a little over the top for maintenance for me, but for someone else who will take the time maybe, my brushed seem to stay just fine in my makeup bag2
I don't understand how this item is helpful at all. Frankly I would lose the little guard and I don't really see how it keeps "yuckiness" away?? It's just a little net that goes over the brush. Kind of a waste in my opinion.2
Maybe it's just because Ive only recently started getting into make up, but I don't see the point in these. I keep all of my brushes in a small drawer so they're covered.2
Unneccessary if you have a good case for your brushes2
