Sometimes you just need to get things down on paper. Field Notes are there for when you’re out and about, whether that’s on a road trip, in a bar, or exploring a new city. With a vintage design inspired by agricultural memo books of the early 20th century, these journals are small and flexible enough to fit in a back pocket. The set also comes with a pair of colorful retro clic pens so you’re prepared whenever inspiration strikes.
I rather not waste one of my products from birch box on a spiral I will write list on. I mean it's kind of cute but not what I'm looking for through this service.1
I love these field notebooks! I received my birchbox right before I went on my first trip to Europe, and needless to say, I put these field notebooks to some serious work. The pens didn't last as long as I would have liked, but I could have just got a bad batch. Other than that, the books were awesome; durable and easy enough to squeeze into your pockets on the go.5
I like having these little notepads handy in case I ever need to write down any information. They are nice to keep in your car with you.4
As someone who has used another popular brand of notebooks, I was very pleased to receive this sample of Field Notes in my Sept. box - right before I was about to depart for a trip abroad. They were great and super handy, while I was traveling - because sometimes, it isn't so easy to fumble around with your phone, unlocking, etc. when you are asking someone for directions, recommendations, etc.
They were relatively durable, while not adding any unnecessary bulk.
I usually have Post It Notes everywhere....pockets, dashboards, computer screens etc and these notebooks are significantly more convenient. If you are going to buy, skip the pack with the pens, but the notebooks fit into pockets nicely, and are a quality notebook.5
I'm a server so I stole these from my boyfriend's box. I think they are handy. I didn't see good reviews on the pens though.4
These things are super handy. I keep one in my pocket and one in my truck.5
I have carried Moleskin notebooks in the past, in my back pocket, and I would say that these are sturdier in construction, and the cover hasn't started falling apart at all, which my Moleskin notebooks did. These are very high quality, both the notebooks and pens.4
Well made, easy to write on and small enough to keep in pocket.4
I use another brand for small notebooks. It would be hard to switch. These come close to being able to get me to though. The pens are decent enough to throw into a glovebox or have as extras but not for everyday use.4
