What’s better than Deborah Lippmann’s award-winning, sweet-smelling, totally effective lacquer remover? That same product in handy to-go packets—keep them in your desk for emergency chipped polish removal or tote them with you on your next trip.
I was extremely excited about this product when I received it in my birchbox, however I was disappointed when one sample did not even take off all my nail polish. I have read that other women have been able to take off all nails and even a few toenails, however taking off a top coat, color, and base coat, proved to be extremely difficult. While it smelled nice and how convenient it was was nice, it was certainly not effective.1
I was soooo looking forward to trying this out! It seemed like an amazing product and I am up for anything that makes doing my nails a more enjoyable experiencce
However, this nailpolish mitt is a disaster. The mitt-type pad is completely useless. I ended up using it as a normal cotton pad (just rubbing the top of my nails with it after 1 nail. I had 1 coat of a bright blue color on my hands (no base coat or top coat) and though I work really quickly when I remove my nailpolish - plus I was afraid that the mitt wouldn't work for all of my nails - this "mitt" only lasted me 7 nails. The last three were still fully painted. The problem wasn't the amount of material in the mitt, there was definitely enough mitt to cover all 10 nails. The problem arose with the remover in the mitt evaporating before I had a chance to use it. I had to poke my finger into the packet trying to get the last remnants of the nail polish remover out. And it wasn't that it was because I was using the outside of the mitt either - it literally became a dry piece of cloth after 7 nails. :( If I were you, I wouldn't waster my money.
One mitt only took off polish from 7 fingernails. I had to use my regular nail polish for the rest. And it was just regular nail polish, didn't even have a top coat. It does have a better smell, but very overpriced for what you get.1
The packaging said 1 mitt would do for all 10 fingers...1 mitt did 4 fingers for me. Had to use both mitts, and I still had 2 fingers left. At this price point, totally not worth it.1
Heard this stuff would even take off glitter polish, for me that was completely false.1
The convenience is very nice in the single package but I only can remove one hand worth of polish. One mitt isnt capable of removing polish on all 10 of my fingers. I could see this would be nice if you were out and needed to fix one nail but dont expect to be able to remove all 10 nails on the go.2
I've heard so much about these polish remover pads. I'm not sure if mine were old or what was the deal. They didn't touch the glitter polish I had on. Two removers only took the polish off a few fingers. For the price I'll stick to my bottle of remover and cotton.2
I wasn't a huge fan of how they worked and I felt that they dried out pretty quickly. For the price I would pay for these, I think it'd be more beneficial to just get nail polish remover and do it the old-fashioned way.2
This is the perfect travel partner. A little expense for at home use but great to use if you have to pack to fly. I like the easy toss packaging.2
I finally got around to trying this product. I would barely take off the polish on one hand. if you were relying on this "on the go." You'd be make a stop at the local drug store to finish the job! Not reliable!2
