We know better than to skip our all-important face-washing ritual, but when we’re traveling there’s not always a sink within reach. Lucky for us, these quick and convenient cleansing wipes make it easy to stay fresh mid-flight, post-excursion, or anytime we need a pick-me-up. They erase dirt and makeup while simultaneously moisturizing your skin. The oil-free formula is great for breakout-prone and sensitive skin, and won’t cause any irritation. Plus, the biodegradable wipes have a refreshing scent courtesy of its lovely blend of botanicals.
This product was OK to remove most of my makeup, but the towelette itself was much to dry to remove my mascara. I would of liked this product better if the wipes were more moist.2
I did not like this product. I bought the full size and was very disappointed. I would never use these wipes in place of eye make-up remover or face wash. The wipes barely removed any make-up. I would have been better off with a wet wash cloth. Also, the smell reminded me of a scented baby wipe. Not at all refreshing. The wipes are also not very sturdy, I assume it is because they are biodegradable, but I prefer something similar to Ponds cleansing wipes to get the job done.2
This product left my face feeling clean without feeling too abrasive, but the smell was awful. It smelled like I was washing my face with the products under my kitchen sink. Very strong chemical smell. No thank you.2
This is good for wiping of dirt, grime and maybe a layer of foundation...but I wouldn't trust this to really clean your face and remove all traces of make up. I had traces of eye make up even after scrubbing it off with the wipe.
If you don't wear much make up (meaning no foundation, no concealer, no waterproof eyeliner or mascara) then this is the wipe for you. If you wear concealer, eyebrow pencil, waterproof eyeliner, waterproof mascara, cream eyeshadow, shadow fix...avoid avoid avoid. Go buy Simple or Ponds both do a better job at half the cost.
I received samples of the La Fresh oil-free face cleanser (scented) in my Birchbox CEW prestige headliners box. I have oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin and am always excited to try oil-free cleansers, particularly wipes, as most make-up remover wipes are not good for oily and acne-prone skin.
While I felt that this one was more "refreshing" than most, it was a bit too harsh for my sensitive skin and smelled a bit like nail polish remover to me. I checked the ingredients, and it contains tocopheryl acetate. The tocopheryl part just means vitamin E, but the acetate may be where the nail polish remover smell is coming from and maybe the reason it was slightly irritating to my skin. They do contain some alcohol as well, so maybe they are just not best for sensitive or dry skin. The nail polish remover scent is enough to turn me off, though, even if I liked how they worked.
I would say these are so so. They were nice and thick and I did like how clean they got my face but I had to rub pretty hard to remove my mascara and my face felt pretty sticky afterwards and I thought they didn't smell too good.2
I thought this would be a great product for summer, but this just was not for me. My skin felt sticky after using this and not refreshed at all.2
I thought this product was not really for me it was not as effective as i thought it would be2
Has a great scent and did not leave my skin oily or dried out but it did seem to smudge the make up around more than it took it off (mostly mascara)
Felt great on my skin, left it shiny and clean feeling afterwards. Seemed to take off powder, blush, and light concealer. But barely took off my mascara, and I know it wouldn't work on liquid eyeliner so I wouldn't buy it.3
