The artist formerly known as Prince inspired this daring new purple lacquer. Named after the singer’s 1984 hit (yes, we know our musical trivia), it turns up the volume with tons of multi-colored glitter. But don’t let the name scare you—the solid base is dark enough to keep the sparkles from feeling over-the-top.
If you are like me, you're probably a bit on the fence about spending $20 on one bottle of nail polish. But if you were ever going to splurge this is definitely the color to do it on.
Unlike some other glitter polish, this stuff covers solid in 2 coats. The purple is dark, but you can still easily tell it's purple and not black. Lastly, the glitter is beautiful. Someone likened it to a stained glass window and that's spot on.
I just finished putting it on, so I cannot comment on wear length at this time
I really wanted a purple polish with multi-colored glitter in it and ordered this through Birchbox without having seen it in person. It ended up being exactly what I was looking for. The purple is sheer, but still very pretty. If I want more of a purple base, I will add a nude shade or another purple under it. The formula is great, it looked amazing with two coats.5
This polish gives a subtle glitter feel without being overwhelming. The purple is beautiful and versatile. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is hesitant about full on glitter polish.5
This was a last minute impulse buy. I had seen Deborah Lippman products but was unsure if it was worth the price.
I was so impressed!! For a glittery polish, I was surprised that it only took one coat to look great! This is not a top coat glitter product. What you see on the bottle is what you get...strong, purple + glitter.
And it stayed on so well. Almost too well, But, if you have a high quality remover, you'll be in good shape. I LOVE this color and I'll absolutely try Deborah Lippman items again!
I use Essie, Julep etc and just tried this for the first time. Love every single thing about it from the brush to the formula. Can't wait to try more colors!5
I saw this polish and just had to have it. It is a bit on the darker side but the glitter really makes it pop! It is also a great glitter polish that doesn't need a base of another polish under it because of its dark base color.5
Looks amazing on! Especially after I finished it off with Alessandro Top Coat. Reminds me of a dark stained glass window. Love it!5
As a cubicle-dweller, I have to pick my polishes carefully. This is a fantastic weekend polish I come back to time and time again because it's just so fun. The semi-jelly color is buildable, so you determine the depth of the purple. Like other DL polishes, it applies and lays smoothly.5
Oh yeah, granddaughter put this on the minute she saw it. And was in love and wants more colors NOW. Very sweet price too.5
I was so happy to see DL's polishes available to purchase! We just started selling these at my Ulta store and I had just purchased DL's Gel Lab base and top coat (which I highly recommend b/c there is no UV curing involved) and I was so happy to try it out with this polish! It's a gorgeous dark purple with various shades of pink, blue and purple glitter throughout. Two coats gave a gorgeous opaque coverage! These polishes are healthy for your nails and are 3 free.5
