MCMC founder Anne McClain was inspired by a free-spirited friend to create this ethereal perfume. Part of The Stories Collections—a group of scents inspired by McClain’s personal experiences—it’s the embodiment of feminine flair. The top note of vanilla quickly translates to a honeysuckle when it touches skin. The lasting note is peach, and its lightweight essence personifies the story of Phoenix.
I tried this one time and immediately put it at the top of my Christmas list! It's definitely my new favorite scent.5
Very unique and pleasing. The sample is a great size.5
This scent isn't my favorite. I've tried it a few times and it's just not for me. It's pretty light so I could see how some people would like it.2
This is such a great scent! Something about the notes in it remind of me being in a cathedral as a little kid. It just has such a feminine and uplifting scent and had I not received this as a sample, I would have never known of its existence. Thanks Birchbox!4
My boyfriend really didn't like the smell of this but I kind of like it. It is a little overpowering, in my opinion, at first but it is growing on me. If you let it absorb into your skin it smells better I think.3
I'm usually a lover of spicy smells, Phoenix is a tad too much of a sweet smell over the spicy for me.3
It smells fresh and clean. It didnt give me the "I have to own this perfume" feeling. Also the fact that my sample was dried out. I am just okay with this product. Not planning on buying.3
I was expecting this to smell wonderful, as most of my samples have in the past, but as soon as I sprayed it I immediately had to shower because it smelled so awful!1
The initial peachy nose was beautiful and summery, but it faded into a faint scratch and sniff sticker smell. I couldn't get that out of my head.3
This is one of the most offensive perfumes i have ever encountered. I can't imagine what the creators had in mind. Beware!1
