MCMC founder Anne McClain was inspired by a free-spirited friend to create this ethereal perfume. Part of The Stories Collections—a group of scents inspired by McClain’s personal experiences—it’s the embodiment of feminine flair. The top note of vanilla quickly translates to a honeysuckle when it touches skin. The lasting note is peach, and its lightweight essence personifies the story of Phoenix.
I liked this scent. It is a light fall scent without being too overwhelming. I agree that is is a fruity scent, but with a touch of woodsy smell to it. It is a more mature fruit smell that works without smelling like candy.4
The odd bitter, fruity scent left me sick to my stomach. Although the packaging is cute, this perfume is definitely not the norm, and has a pretty bad scent.1
LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent! It is a sophisticated and feminine scent that goes with every outfit. I can't wait for mine to arrive in the mail!5
not usually a fan of "scents" but i really like this one. it's warm and soothing (homey in a way) without being overwhelmingly sweet or stuffy.5
Loved this scent. I am very sensitive to scents and this does not leave me with a headache. It is also the perfect tropical scent I've been searching for. Very happy to have gotten it in my November box.5
The sample was too small for this powerful fragrant scent. I wish I had more.5
I feel like this perfume smells too much like my grandma. It is not something I would recommend and not something I will be purchasing.1
Upon first sniff I felt I had smelled this before, and I have! Years ago I had created a fragrance at Garden Botanika (you can still do this fyi) and mixed -Peach -Vanilla -Japenese Flowers, this would be a pretty close dupe if you don't want to pay nearly onehundredbux. However, if you like it and have bb points...go for it! Although unique, I personally feel it reminds me of yrs ago. For fragrance I'm always on to something new and fresh, unless of course it's a classic vanity staple.4
I can't really pinpoint what I dislike about this. It's just not something I would ever wear & I don't think it could ever grow on me like some scents can.1
I love this scent. Warm and cozy and clean! I would buy it if it weren't so expensive!5
