MCMC founder Anne McClain was inspired by a free-spirited friend to create this ethereal perfume. Part of The Stories Collections—a group of scents inspired by McClain’s personal experiences—it’s the embodiment of feminine flair. The top note of vanilla quickly translates to a honeysuckle when it touches skin. The lasting note is peach, and its lightweight essence personifies the story of Phoenix.
This stuff smells great! Most perfumes are way too strong for me but this one is just right. I highly recommend checking it out!5
Loved getting this sample. The fragrance is smooth and natural feeling. As a kid I had a strawberry shortcake doll (the ones from the 80's, not the new ones), and this has a slight hint of that strawberry shortcake doll smell, which I always loved (and anyone who played with them knows that they don't smell like strawberries, so don't let this throw you off). I love things that have hints of vanilla so this is perfect. I usually don't care for the fragrance samples I get in my box because I never like them. Usually all I can smell is alcohol and a hint of "grandma", but not this one. It is sophisticated and soft and lovely. :)5
With the first spray of this scent I immediately notice a strong powdery peach but it slowly dies down to a sweet peaches and honeysuckle. It's very light and earthy. I might use this fragrance during the warmer months.3
I love this perfume. Not too strong but unique. Smells so good. Found a new signature scent!5
This perfume is nostalgic of a scent from my childhood. I love all the notes and am so glad this sample was in my birchbox! I can't stop sniffing the vial. The only downside is that the full size is so expensive.5
This is a very unique scent. There is something weird about it, but I like it. I've never smelled a perfume like this before. The scent was initially very strong, which worried me, but to be honest, about 4 hours later, I really don't smell it at all.4
