When you need a stiff drink to unwind, nothing should come between you and your spirit of choice. Unlike ice, which spurs you to throw back your rye before it gets watered down, pre-chilled Whisky Stones® won’t melt. Made from Vermont soapstone, the non-porous cubes won’t absorb or alter the essence of whatever you’re sipping. They’re an ingenious way to keep your spirit chilled and unadulterated.
I got these alongside the Teroforma tumblers as a gift for my scotch-collecting boyfriend and so far they have been a huge hit. He loves to use them in his scotch, and they are super easy to clean and don't absorb anything or omit any kind of extra odor or taste.4
These stones work almost as good as advertised in cooling drinks without diluting the flavor. I would just recommend that users not get their hopes too high; the stones are meant to just slightly cool drinks, and not to parallel drinking on the rocks.4
I normally use a large ice ball mold at home, but was willing to give these a try on our recent "Whisky & Cupcake Day". If you're a pure whisky (scotch/bourbon, what have you) drinker, these are great. Not for vigorous drinkers as you may worry for the safety of your glass, but it kept the spirits nicely cold with no diluting just as advertised.4
I personally love the Teroforma Whisky Stones® for myself as well as for stocking stuffers/hostess gifts. They keep your drink chilled without watering it down.4
These are of really nice quality, just as described, bought these as a Christmas present, looking forward to gifting them.4
Great substitute for ice, and can be used for any alcohol that is sipped in small quantities. It probably goes without saying that these do not get super cold, but they do the trick. Good enough that I may be purchasing more in the near future.4
Had seen these before but never really thought to buy them myself. Great way to keep your drink chilled without watering it down. Doesn't last forever but was long enough for my taste.4
These do just what they say - cool your whiskey without watering it down. They last a while too, probably around half an hour. If you need them to last longer than that, you should drink faster.4
I thought these worked well. If you like your whiskey really cold then these are not for you. But I thought it was cold enough for my taste.
I will say though that the chill doesn't last very long. Again, it depends on your taste.
As a whiskey and bourbon drinker, who really likes his booze - these are perfect for enjoying exactly that and not diluting your product. They are cool conversation starters for new company and economical.
The only downside is that they don't get a drink too cold, only cool- but then again... it's a preference at that point.
