We’ve spent more time contemplating our split ends than counting the number of John Mayer’s ex-girlfriends. Celeb gossip moment aside, we seriously adore this salon brand’s reparative leave-in cream. Designed for post-shower use, it immediately goes to work to seal off split ends and restore the health of damaged strands. Bonus: this treatment helps protect against heat damage by sealing off each cuticle with moisture.
I understand that a split end cannot be mended, the only way to fix it is to cut it off. But i was hoping that this cream would smooth them out and make them appear to go away. This product left my hair feeling goopy and awful (even when I just used it on my ends). Would not recommend.1
These Nexxus Split-End mending products were not for me. I used the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in creme. Did it "mend" split ends? Yes, I believe it did, temporarily. However, my hair was left feeling somewhat "sticky" for lack of a better word. That being said, my hair has never been colored and I always air-dry my hair so perhaps these products would be more suitable for someone with more damage.1
I am not a fan of Nexxus at all. I also though the sample was extremely small and not even enough for a head wash1
I don't like this. It's just not as good as other things I have tried. It's pretty expensive too, for a drug store brand.1
I used the Pro Mend treatment and was not happy with it. It made my hair feel very dry and stiff. My hair is very fine and it seemed very very thick after using the treatment and I did not like it.2
Like the other products in this line, I was disappointed. It really was no better than many drugstore brands I've used & it certainly doesn't compare to higher end brands. In addition, I prefer serums & sprays to creams when it comes to leave-in conditioner/protectors. My fine hair lacks volume as it is so even the lightweight creams make a visible (negative) difference. Only thing I liked was the scent.2
The sample packaging was atrocious, as you basically had to maul it to get it to open. And after it was open, there was no way to reseal it so I only used it once. Tinfoil samples are just not the best way to get products into consumers hands.2
I really like Nexxus and have used their products in the past, but I am VERY picky about conditioner and this wasn't cutting it for me. Lots of silicones (which isn't a problem, but since I don't use regular shampoo it's hard for me to use this).2
I'd used the shampoo and conditioner before with nice results, but using the leave in treatment left my hair feeling weighed down, a bit greasy and waxy. The product itself was very creamy, but I didn't like what it did to my hair.2
spells clean, but tresseme has a similar product, nice clean smell and more affordable2
