We’ve spent more time contemplating our split ends than counting the number of John Mayer’s ex-girlfriends. Celeb gossip moment aside, we seriously adore this salon brand’s reparative leave-in cream. Designed for post-shower use, it immediately goes to work to seal off split ends and restore the health of damaged strands. Bonus: this treatment helps protect against heat damage by sealing off each cuticle with moisture.
as compared to other leave ins, i was happy with this one. doesn't make my ahir oily or too sft.4
This product is great! I bought a larger version after I used the trial version from birchbox. I absolutely love it!5
I have colored and over processed hair. I got a brilliant idea to "lighten" my hair and it was orange and dry as a bone! I bought this to help and it did! I also have thyroid disease and my hair comes out when I brush it. I apply the leave-in after I wash, condition and towel dry. I apply it, then comb my hair. It helps with the tangles and my hair smells and feels so good! I usually follow it up with an anti-frizz serum and/or curl cream. I highly recommend this item!5
I understand that a split end cannot be mended, the only way to fix it is to cut it off. But i was hoping that this cream would smooth them out and make them appear to go away. This product left my hair feeling goopy and awful (even when I just used it on my ends). Would not recommend.1
I'm not quite sure how I managed my split ends before I found this product. It's easy to use: you just apply it to your hair after you get out of the shower, dry, and style as usual and tada your split ends are gone. A must have for the winter where damaged ends are the usual.5
I mostly bought this product for the fragrance. It's a warm, sweet scent. It brings to mind chocolate and vanilla, and baked goods like sugar cookies.
I used to have heavily chemically treated hair (bleached multiple times and dyed with semi-permanent vegetable based dyes). It did make my hair a little softer and smoother if I applied heat styling with a blow dryer. I can't say there was a small noticeable difference while the product was in my hair but it's definitely out once the hair has been washed.
I put this on after I shower on my wet hair. I haven't noticed that it's helping with my split ends but it does leave my hair extremely soft but when I go back and shower my hair feels stiff which is super weird because i've never had that problem. If you want soft hair, get it! if what you want are no more split ends I'm not sure this is what you're looking for.3
This is my favorite thing that I've sampled from Birchbox and I've made it part of my regular routine. Love, love, love it.
First off, this stuff smells great and you really only need a nickle-sized amount even for long hair. I honestly didn't expect it to work so great and initially I intended only to use it before I straight-iron my hair. However, after slapping some on the ends and the curly/frizzy strands around my face right after washing it, my hair air-dried to this naturally silky/wavy texture, rather than the usual frizzy mess the day of washing. I didn't even need to straighten my hair the next two days. So, I might be addicted to this product now. It works MIRACLES.5
I LOVE this product. I have been using it for a few years, and it really does noticeably 'mend' your split ends. I use it every morning on my damp hair. Even my hair stylist noticed that I don't have as many split ends as I have in the past.5
