Sometimes air-drying doesn't cut it. This professional-grade tool has major power, despite its compact size, and cuts drying time in half. Throw some product in your hair and you're out the door.
This blow dryer burned out after about 6 months of very modest use - one person (me) with fine hair, using it about 4-5 days/week. One day when I turned it on, it made no sound but smoke came out - and that was that. It has a warranty but you have to pay to ship it BOTH ways to get a refurbished item, with no guarantee that the new one won't burn out too. This is way too expensive to have that kind of poor quality and inadequate warranty coverage. I would strongly recommend buying a different brand.1
Honestly do NOT purchase this hair dryer. It pains me to say this but this is the second one that I have received and I cannot recommend it. I ordered one from Birchbox and received one with a cracked twist cap (that holds on the air filter). Birchbox was amazing and overnighted me a new one. Problem solved.
Now a few months later, I lightly knocked mine against a hard surface and the back twist cap cracked, fell off, and is completely unrepairable. Sedu offers a 6 year warranty on this so I looked up the warranty info and found out that not only is it on me to package and ship them the hair dryer, I have to pay $10 to get a refurbished one sent back to me.
So to recap, poor plastic quality on Sedu's part led to two broken hair dryers and after spending $160, I'm now out another roughly $20 to get a not new, but refurbished hair dryer sent to me.
Save yourself the heartache...the dryer is great but there are better made and equally as awesome hair dryers out there.
I purchased this blowdryer with the highest hopes! Unfortunately, it arrived broken (the end cap that covers the air intake... and prevents your hair from being sucked into the motor... was broken off). Could have just been a fluke but I wouldn't trust the quality of this brand if it is that easily damaged in transit.1
I like this hair drier, it's good, but it's not outstanding, and I was a bit disappointed as all the other reviews had been so amazing. I have just moved to the US, where the power voltage is much lower than where I came from, meaning that the hair drier I brought with me (not cheap, but not this expensive) wasn't effective with the lower voltage. This one is only about as powerful as my older, cheaper drier. Which I was satisfied with anyway, but I was expecting a bit more from this one, considering the price and the rave reviews.3
I have waist-length, thick hair. I usually just let my hair air-dry because it takes too long to blow dry. This does the trick. Worth the price.3
I love this blow dryer. It cut my drying time in half, compared to the blow dryer I previously had.4
This is the first professional-grade blow dryer I've ever purchased (saving up my points really helped!) and I'm not disappointed. This thing could blow my ears off my head! ;)
The power and heat are really phenomenal, and I've been able to practice my blow drying technique with great results.
The one drawback: the buttons/switches are not my favorite. There are two issues - 1) the positioning is such that I accidentally hit them all the time, and 2) the order of the switches is not intuitive - I have to keep looking at it to adjust the intensity or heat level.
This also came with a Sedu mini straightener, which also has a poorly positioned switch - I kept accidentally turning it off mid-use!
I have long, wavy hair that does NOT dry nicely naturally. But before the Sedu I had to both blow dry (20 minutes) and flat iron (10 minutes) if I wanted it to be smooth. And because it took so long I practically never did it and so always went around with an ugly ponytail. Then I got the Sedu. Blow drying now takes 8 minutes and my hair is so smooth I don't need to flat iron. So basically it cut my hair time in less than a third and so I can now look nice everyday. So literally, life altering. So why only four stars? Well, maybe it's me, but the buttons on this thing are in a terrible place and I turn the blowdryer off by accident at least 2 or 3 times every time I use it. So that's annoying. And it's also heavy. I think I'm getting nicer deltoids, but my arm is tired at the end. So one star off for heavy and bad buttons. But honestly you couldn't make me return it because it's a fantastic blow dryer and it works wonders. Absolutely recommended.4
I was a little skeptical about the reviews for Sedu 6000i Blow Dryer, I haven't seen so many positive reviews for a blow dryer. I am a complete believer in the powers of Sedu! This is the best blow dryer I have ever purchased in eight years as a hair stylist and thirty years of life! Very speedy and powerful, great heat, and I love the two different nozzles. The only complaint I have are the setting switches are in a bad place. I hit the off switch several time while air forming and it doesn't include a diffuser. Not enough for me to try any other blow dryer! I am a Sedu stylist from here on out!4
The buttons aren't in the best location, and I kept accidentally hitting them while I was doing my hair. This is a great blow dryer with serious power, and I was able to give myself a sleek, salon worthy, blow out. It is a bit heavy, but I'm very happy with it.4
