Benefit is all about combining style with substance, so it’s no surprise that their buzzed-about skincare products look as good as they make us feel. This adorable limited edition set includes travel-size versions of Benefit’s refined finish facial polish, total moisture facial cream, and triple performance facial emulsion SPF 15 PA++. The chic packaging is totally gift-worthy and will stand out on any vanity.
The products were difficult to get out of the containers so I was frustrated before even starting to use them. Perhaps that biased my opinion? But I found the products very average. I was not as impressed as I'd hoped to be.1
I gave this product a try a couple of times. Just not worth the money. The moisturizer at best is watery and it feel like you haven't put anything on. Smell is a little wanky too.2
I'm not impressed with this product at all. The facial polish is the best one out of the three. The cream and lotion left my skin feeling oily, gross, and made me uncomfortable. The Polish did a good job of exfoliating and cleansing my skin but I had trouble with the tube. The smell is okay but not the best. I think the bottles are very cute and liked the packaging but the product itself was nothing to be impressed by. This is a good little kit to give a teen as a gift.2
While I loved the smell, this product left my sensitive skin very irritated after my first use. It didn't do much for my acne either as the moisturizers left my skin feeling even more oily and didn't get rid of any of the shine in my t-zone area. Would recommend this to someone with a normal to very dry skin type.2
This is a cute set and is probably a good product for someone in their teens. It is just not advanced enough to buy. Would rather spend money on something that did a bit more.2
I don't like the three steps. Other than that it was fine.2
So far I have only used the face cream. It did hydrate quite well. However, it never completely absorbed into my skin. I woke up the next morning and cold still feel the oiliness of it on my skin.2
The samples were not big enough to tell but the products smelled amazing! The creams were a little to watery for my liking.2
I liked the under-eye cream and the regular moisturizer, but the facial polish made my skin oily. I used as directed, rubbing and rinsing away, but the next morning, my nose and forehead were noticeably oily. I normally don't feel the need to wash my face in the morning, just a quick splash of water is fine or sometimes a swipe of toner, but this was uncomfortable, and the one time I tried to just let it go and see if my skin would adjust over the day, my makeup wept like I ran a marathon.
The moisturizer felt as good as the one I'd been using, and the under-eye cream felt great on its own. I don't think I saw any improvement on the color under my eyes, but I don't think the sample provided gave enough to try for the amount of time I would need to see a change. I may get a full size and see what happens, though, since I'm in the market for a new under-eye cream.
As a skincare hawk (missed my calling as a dermatologist) I was excited to try Benefit. The consistency was very good, and the scent calming. However, my skin broke out after each use and the eye cream caused an odd red-eye/watering reaction. I stopped using the products, and it all calmed down. I am not allergy prone, so this surprised me...be careful to those with sensitive skin!2
