The best musical experiences in life are shared—and we’re not just talking about the Pearl Jam concert you attended with your buddies in the early ’90s. Whenever you want to hear the music played loud—at the beach, say, or in a hotel room—a good bet is this snappy-looking Portable Speaker. Available in design-centric zebrawood or rosewood finishes, it promises to please both your inner DJ and your inner aesthete.
Love the look, the sound was ok, I used it in my kitchen with my I-Phone, and I liked it fine. The controls are a little flimsy, so I'm not sure how long it will last3
I unfortunately read the reviews after I ordered and when I got it in the mail I tried it out. Dud. It sounded absolutely horrid. I promptly returned it.1
This is a great looking speaker. I didn't notice that it didn't have Bluetooth but jack works fine but it is kind of short.4
I got this to plug into my iPhone 6 Plus in the bathroom to hopefully fill the room with sound a little more than the phone by itself.
First, the speaker itself is very nice looking. It's hefty and the wood is beautiful. A simple back panel provides inputs for audio and a proprietary charging cable that's USB to something that looks similar to the old mobile phone chargers. (MicroUSB would have been a better choice in my opinion to save from having yet another charger in the house.)
Second, the audio quality. Better put, the lack of quality. A big disappointment. In my use, I didn't find the speaker to be any warmer or louder than the iPhone by itself. I'm not certain I'll put it in the bathroom as I had planned, but if I do, it'll be for looks alone. The phone sounds better and is louder than the speaker. Unfortunate.
One of my Friends has this and it's a good little speaker.5
I loved this when it first arrived.
But after a couple weeks it would stop playing 1 minute into turning this on.
Such a shame for it is one of a kind.
It looks wonderful on a bookshelf.
I consider myself a music lover and love novelty/unique stuff, this speaker falls more on the latter category of a unique item to own, not something I would go looking for when I want to listen to my music. Quality is definitely better quality than your phone speaker (speaking for iPhone). But, the fact that it is not bluetooth enabled and needed a separate charging cable not very convenient compare to my other speaker. So considering I got this as a bonus, why not.3
I am always skeptical of compact mini-speakers, and this one was no different. I thought the sound quality was poor and didn't really add much compared to the sound I would get from the mobile devices I plugged into it. That said, it's compact and good-looking, which merits a few extra stars.3
This is a new little speaker. It's nice that it's rechargeable and stores the battery inside. However because it's so small the sound is also pretty small. Also the fact that you need to be plugged in kinda takes away from it in this world of bluetooth speakers.2
It broke fast. Extremely fast. I was a sucker for the aesthetic but the craftsmanship left something to be desired.1
