Inspired by the place where all the stars come out to play, this fresh scent was named after Chandler Burr's Los Angeles-based novel of the same title and also creative directed by the author. It doesn't capture the scent of the city but rather what a modern woman in Los Angeles would wear, like Burr's main character, Anne Rosenbaum. It invigorates the senses with its crisp aroma but its notes are also abstract and not intended to be identified by its wearer.
This wasn't a perfect match for me, (not distinctive enough) but I liked it. Fresh, light, but w/ a little twist -- almost like a dash of bitters added to a summery cocktail -- that sets it apart from many department-store scents, & it doesn't skew too much towards either youthful or mature. I like to blend this w/ Atelier Cologne's Orange Sanguine to anchor the sweeter citrus notes...might work w/ their Clémentine California, too.
