We love our iPads, but we don’t love it when our arms fall asleep after hours of clutching them. Triple C’s Origami Smart Case applies the ancient Japanese art (and our childhood hobby) of origami to fix this very problem. This innovative case folds into six different configurations, meaning you get six different ways to type on, read, or view your iPad screen (including our favorite, the vertical prop). Pretty ingenious, right?
I got this to replace the trifold type cover, since that doesn't stay propped. The cover is so pretty, I got the black with pink flowers pattern. The back protects the iPad quite well. I accidentally set it on a (later, glaringly obvious) water ring on a table and nothing bad came of it. The magnets hold together and are so stable I've been able to keep my iPad upright on the bed.5
I am surprised I haven't heard more hype about this product. I get a lot of compliments both on the pattern but the functionality of the design as well. I often have text books, cook books, etc open in portrait view but can flip the whole thing around to landscape with out having to refold. I wish all the patterns were still available since I take my ipad EVERYWHERE and after a year of abuse and travel (and bicycle crashes) its time for a new one. Too bad the black and white one is no longer available.5
I love the way the case looks and it holds up my iPad well in the ways it is supposed to but my only complaint is the magnet to close on the screen isn't very strong for example if you hold it upside down the top comes off and that kind of bothers me.4
I've had this case for awhile now, and it has held up well. The design is on both the front and the back of the screen protector which is nice. I do find that it only works well at holding the ipad up in 1 position though.4
