We’re all guilty of the occasional pimple-squeezing session. To make things worse, we use our fingers to perform the function. Not only is that an easy way to introduce new bacteria, but we’re practically asking for an acne scar. The good news? A little DIY facial work is okay if we use the right tools. This double-sided, no-slip skin care tool works to eliminate blackheads and whiteheads in a flash, leaving you with smooth skin.
I haven't used a blemish extractr in , but, had some blackheads pop up on my shoulders and arn near a tattoo.... This tool made it very easy to get those pesky blackheads without doing any damage to the ink at all. Yay!5
I compulsively pick at my skin, and I thought this would help keep my hands off and my pores clearer. However, the process of safely using it is more intense than a quick fix when you have a spot you want to go for. It has successfully taken care of a few small white heads, but has also significantly inflamed some areas. I don't think I trust it on my skin, overall. Seems like it would be better for people who have larger pores or get defined, deep white heads. Not for a skin-picker like me.2
Good tool, but I wish that the loops were slightly bigger to help with getting some pores out. However, it does do it's job.3
Owned before I purchased from Birchbox but ended up letting a friend keep it. Bought it again off here because it is an amazing tool to help pop zits without ruining your skin.5
I am impressed by how gentle this feels on my skin...it didn't leave any red marks or impressions. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I am very happy with it.5
I have always had a weird obsession with popping pimples even before Dr. Sandra Lee became popular and after watching probably every one of her videos I NEEDED a tool like this... anyways I purchased one of these bad boys and I LOVE IT! Its so easy and simple to use. I personally prefer the flatter side because I feel like I can reach more, but the thicker side is great for the bigger pimples in my opinion. Like I said, I love these so much and it makes the removal of blemishes so much easier and a lot less painful. Of course like everyone else has said, I would highly recommend using this tool after you have taken a shower as it does open your pores more.5
I was really excited to try this and ended up being really disappointed. It only works on harder surfaces on your face, like the bridge of your nose and forehead.2
My father had this HUGE (in my opinion) blackhead and he was reminiscing about the tools from his younger years (he is 81 as I type this) used to extract blackheads. I did some research on the internet knowing that regular exfoliation would keep one from getting blackheads in the first place. A tool like this kind of frightens me personally. I checked my own stock of products after learning what facial care products help with blackheads. My father would not use any (they either smelled icky to him or he just didn't want to use--I think he had an idea in his head and wanted to go with a tool of some sort). I then researched tools to see if I could find one that looked like what he remembered and I could not even really find any. It looked liked this would be the one. For the price and since I had some bonus points, I decided to buy this for him. I gave it to him and he went to work and told me that it worked like a charm (okay those were my words "worked like a charm.")--it did just what it was supposed to do and easily!! YAY!! DAD APPROVED!!5
I first heard of this product from Dr. Pimple Popper and decided to try it out. I absolutely love it! It works so well!5
I've been using this tool for a while and I really like it to help push out extra black heads on my nose and chin. However, BE CAREFUL! If you push too hard on your skin, or are digging too much, there is the potential to give yourself scars. This happened especially to me when I was trying to open large pimples on my face. When you use it be gentle and use it after you've taken a shower or bath so that your pores are as open as possible. The grip is nice and I also like that there are two sizes. Sometimes I use this tool to help (carefully) scrape dead skin from my nose, lip, or chin that I missed when exfoliating.5
