We love using cilantro in the kitchen, but now it has an important role in the bathroom, too. This gentle daily conditioner calls on the leafy greens to refresh all hair types. Formulated without oils or scalp-irritating silicones, it delivers shiny, residue-free locks.
I have fine flat hair and this conditions, softens, and adds sheen without weighing it down. The smell is interesting-more like licorice than cilantro- but it compliments the Malin+Goetz Peppermint shampoo very well.4
I've yet to experience a hair conditioner that required two applications for effectiveness. After reading many of the general positive reviews, I thought I would give this product a try. The scent did not seem as strong to me as some suggest, and I'm not a huge fan of cilantro (yet the hydrating properties convinced me to try it). I have normal, dark blond hair, 37 years old, about 2-3" long and I tend to condition more than shampoo to keep the natural oils necessary for healthy hair and a healthy scalp. I was surprised by the results, but that doesn't mean my experience will be the same for others.2
This conditioner is great for my color-treated normal-dry hair. I have used some highly touted brands recommended for my hair type that left my hair looking dirty after 24-hours, even in cold dry weather, but not this one -- it leaves my hair silky without weighing it down, and smells great.4
I can't decide if I like this conditioner or not. The first couple times I used it, it felt like it wasn't permeating my hair at all, and my hair was still tangled when I stepped out of the shower. After about a week of using it, though, it's much better. Conditions my hair nicely and it's always silky smooth when I'm done. I don't know if this is because I've used it so many times now, or just because the peppermint shampoo is so fantastic. I'll keep using to find out. Wish the bottle were bigger, though.3
I LOVE the peppermint shampoo, but I'm not as sold on this one. It may be because I switched to it after using moroccanoil shampoo/conditioner, but this doesn't feel like it penetrates my hair well. It feels super thick and creamy in my hands, but it doesn't feel that way in my hair. Plus, while my hair does feel pretty good after using the shampoo, it doesn't feel much softer after using the conditioner. Also, my hair (very fine and curly) tangles more easily with this than it has with other conditioners.
On the plus side, this doesn't weigh my hair down at all, which is usually my biggest issue with conditioners. Plus, I don't really like cilantro but I found the smell to be really tolerable, especially after the amazing peppermint shampoo.
I'd say this is a good conditioner to use if you're looking for very lightweight moisture but I wouldn't recommend it if you have super dry hair or like very creamy conditioners.
this conditioner is the best i have ever tried, it smells amazing conditions nicely and doesn't leave any sort of oily residue on the hair. i will definitely be buying this and the shampoo again, they are the best i have found in a long time5
I stayed at a hotel (21C in Louisville KY) that, with each room cleaning, gave this along with the Peppermint Shampoo, B5 body lotion, and Rum Body Wash. I stocked up quite a supply during this time and ran out a few months ago. I went back to my regular shampoo and conditioner, and though nice, the Malin and Goetz products just blow most things I use out of the water. It was a great reunion when I received this again. It's not heavy and smells great and fresh. My hair is happy again!5
It came out of the bottle very thick so I was concerned, but it washes cleanly and leaves my hair shiny and smooth. Will definitely buy the full size.5
Not too heavy a rinse or conditioner, but good at smoothing. It made my coarse straight hair smooth without weighing it down. The smoothness lasted through the blow out.5
I like to alternate with this conditionar it really is great to alternate with it doesn't weigh down your hair. it could be a little bit better as far as softness but it really keeps your hair shiny and not oily.3
