We love using cilantro in the kitchen, but now it has an important role in the bathroom, too. This gentle daily conditioner calls on the leafy greens to refresh all hair types. Formulated without oils or scalp-irritating silicones, it delivers shiny, residue-free locks.
I've always had a hard time with conditioners. They either seem ineffective or a waste of money for me. I have very short hair, it's thick and straight and I generally hate it. I was not blessed with luscious long locks of hair, but I accept it (at least I'm not balding!). In any event, conditioners never seemed to work for me. My hair would feel soft while conditioning it, but it would just go back to being dry and coarse once it dried. My hairstylist recommended using a conditioner daily, so I've tried several brands without a whole lot of excitement. I bought the Malin+Goetz Peppermint Shampoo--and I loved it, so I thought I'd try their conditioner. After about 5 weeks of using it, I can finally feel the difference in my hair all day. It feels softer, it is easier to manage. It usually sticks up straight out like my hair is full of cowlicks, but this seems to relax it almost and allow it to lay down as if I had much longer hair. It doesn't smell bad at all, a very faint hint of herbal cilantro, it smells more unscented than anything. A little is sufficient and by using it daily, I've felt a major improvement in my hair.
5At first I thought, Cilantro? But, wow, this conditioner smells simply amazing and a little goes a long way! My hair has never been this smooth coming out of the shower. The product minimizes tangles in a significant way! I LOVE IT!!!! The price is worth every ounce. xo
5I really like this conditioner and will generally shampoo every other day, squeeze the water out and then apply this but then not rinse out. I do not have buildup/flakes and it is not greasy. I don't find the scent to be cilantro at all. Difficult to explain it but it's nice and refreshing. I also like the (unisex) packaging quite a bit. If you like deep conditioning, I'd say try using this daily and then using a masque (or heavier conditioner) a few times/week. Recommended!
4I've yet to experience a hair conditioner that required two applications for effectiveness. After reading many of the general positive reviews, I thought I would give this product a try. The scent did not seem as strong to me as some suggest, and I'm not a huge fan of cilantro (yet the hydrating properties convinced me to try it). I have normal, dark blond hair, 37 years old, about 2-3" long and I tend to condition more than shampoo to keep the natural oils necessary for healthy hair and a healthy scalp. I was surprised by the results, but that doesn't mean my experience will be the same for others.
2This conditioner is great for my color-treated normal-dry hair. I have used some highly touted brands recommended for my hair type that left my hair looking dirty after 24-hours, even in cold dry weather, but not this one -- it leaves my hair silky without weighing it down, and smells great.
