The scent of this shampoo is very mild; and I confess, I love a stronger scent when you are talking about an essential oil like peppermint. It didn't tingle on my scalp like I would expect from a shampoo that is mint-based, and as stated on the bottle , it didn't really lather than much. Which is fine - it means lack of harmful sulfates and foaming agents, but I've still used better shampoos that were sulfate free and lathered better.
My hair felt clean - nothing special. However, my scalp began to itch in a way that tells me I was not allergic, but just mildly sensitive to something in the ingredients - not mint, since I have used mint-based shampoos before with no problem.
The sample size was perfect, the packaging was a bit plain, the texture of this shampoo is clear, and the scent is very mildly minty.
There just was nothing "special" or "unique" about this product in a very competitive market. To improve, they could use more essential mint oils to get the scalp nice and refreshed, spruce up the packaging even a teensy bit so it isn't so generic and boring, and there are definitely natural ingredients that could add more lathering.
