We like peppermint in just about anything so it’s no surprise that we’re fans of this tingly cool shampoo. (We’re not the only ones—it’s been a best seller for years.) The gentle formula combines natural peppermint extract with amino acid-based cleansing agents to balance, clean, and clarify all hair types. It’s gentle enough for daily use—a relief, since we’re addicted!
It has a nice scent, and it is gentle, but it just wasn't for me. I think if I hadn't been using the conditioner that I use my hair would be dry and frizzy. I feel like this over cleans.2
I was excited to receive this sample as I've heard great things about the brand. I've used it a few times now and it just didn't wow me. The smell is very refreshing and it leaves my hair nice and clean but I wouldn't go spending $20 for a full size when there's other cheaper shampoos that do the same thing. I just didn't really feel a difference2
I have oily hair already and this product made my hair oiler much sooner than other shampoos I have used. I think this product would work well with dry to normal type hair. The smell was great.
I think this is a good product, just not for my particular hair type.
I loved the smell of this product but the sample was only enough to wash my hair twice. I think this product helped my scalp but left my ends much more dry, brittle and frizzy then the much more inexpensive shampoo I already use.2
This shampoo smells great and feels great, but my hair is very long and extremely dry, and I could tell after just one wash that it wasn't hydrating enough.
If your hair isn't super dry like mine, though, I imagine it would be great (and I liked that the sample came in an airplane carry-on sized bottle.)
I don't like peppermint scent to be on my head and it wasn't effective.2
Loved the scent of this product, loved the suds and loved the tingle. However, my hair is like straw after using it. I think I'll save this for use once every couple of weeks to strip it of buildup. This is definitely not an everyday shampoo...at least for me. My hair is typically quite manageable.2
Not the biggest fan of pepperment for my shampoo, the smell just isnt what i want my hair to smell like.2
OK… So I was scared to try it at first, because when I opened it, it smelled a little bit like toothpaste. And when I accidentally got some on my finger, it felt a little bit like a cross between thinned toothpaste and oily lotion. Not necessarily horrible, but not wonderful either. I used it twice, because I hadn't been able to shower in a couple of days. After I got it into my hair, and leathered up, it felt nicer. It got my hair very squeaky clean and fresh feeling, but it didn't really do anything special to it. It didn't really help get rid of any friz or make my hair especially smooth or silky… And I was kind of hoping that when my hair dried, it would dry curly like it used to, or at least wavy. I don't put a lot of product in my hair, and I don't use a lot of heating stylers. I also usually let my hair air dry. Are used to have naturally curly hair, and I know that hair changes as people get older. It's funny, because I was trying to expect nothing at all to happen, but was hoping for too much. It landed somewhere in the middle… Maybe a tiny bit less. Got my hair cleaner than a lot of other shampoos. But I am a little disappointed that it didn't bring back my curly hair. Therefore, all in all, it's a really clean, pretty nice smelling shampoo, but it doesn't really have any exquisite or special properties, and didn't do anything phenomenal to my hair other than get it really clean.3
This shampoo didn't really do anything for my hair. It even left it with a sort of rubbery feeling.3
