Oribe, hair stylist to the fabulous, knows that you have to give color-treated hair special attention. This super-thick conditioner repairs and protects damaged, overtaxed tresses.
But it wasn't. I've read such great things about this conditioner and I reallllllyyyy wanted to like it but it didn't do anything for me =[. My hair is straight and medium-fine, and this conditioner didn't detangle or give my hair any shine. I was really hoping it would be comparable to Alternas Caviar Moisture conditioner (I love that stuff but I know I need to switch it up so my hair doesn't adapt) but it wasn't. I tried it a few times hoping it would eventually make a difference but no luck. Not for me.1
Left my normally smooth tame hair as a frizz ball. It looked like I was out in the wind all day. It is shiny though.1
didnt condition my hair as well as most drugstore brands.1
So I got two foil packets of this conditioner in my box, I took one into the shower thinking it would be enough. Yep, it was not - my hair did not feel hydrated to the point where I needed to condition again using my usual conditioner. The smell was nice enough and maybe if I had a larger sample I would have noticed and felt like my hair had been conditioned.1
Oribe – “shampoo and conditioner for beautiful color.†Two samples arrived, and the shampoo smelled great. Again, very citrusy with a hint of sweetness. Unlike the body gel, this lathered REALLY well, and was an ample sample. The conditioner, on the other hand, was not as silky as I prefer (I like my conditioners to automatically detangle my hair and keep it detangled long after I rinse). Also, it didn’t have a pleasing smell…it was similar to the shampoo’s scent, but it has a powdery after scent which is reminiscent of matronly cosmetics and fragrances (you know what I’m talking about). Maybe it was just me. I’m sure other people will really enjoy this shampoo and conditioner, but I wasn’t crazy about it. Again, I do have another sample of it, so maybe I’ll change my mind when I try it again. Unlike any sort of Garnier products, my scalp feels clean, and my hair feels very light, which is always a positive.1
I first used the sample of shampoo, which I liked, I found the conditioner to be disappointing. First thing I noticed is that it had no real smell, I was expecting it to smell like the shampoo. The sample was a good texture, and enough to smooth through my hair and I left it on for 2 minutes or so while I shaved my legs. I rinsed it off and my hair started matting together a little bit, and tangle which is not something I've ever experienced with a conditioner. I had to brush my hair when I got out of the shower to get rid of tangles, which isn't something I ever have to do. I've been coloring my hair for 7+ years and have used many special conditioners, none of which ever caused my hair to mat up.1
Again, I was excited to use only to make my hair look & feel oily! Which is quite hard as my hair is dry! I won't be purchasing this product either.1
I am not sure this was the best shampoo for my hair texture.. It may be great for someone else.1
This was a small sample - I had to use the whole envelope for one washing of my long hair. Left my hair very coarse.1
I expect a lot from my conditioner...this had nothing. I had to use my leave in conditioner after I got out of the shower to get the comb through my hair.1
