Take a peek in nearly any makeup artists kit and you'll spy a well-loved tube of Embryolisse's cult favorite Lait-Crème Concentré. Since we're just as picky as the pros, you'd better believe we're fans too. This velvety moisturizer gives skin the ultimate silky finish, thanks to generous amounts of soothing shea butter and aloe vera. It's rich without being heavy, and can be used on all skin types. Plus, it doubles as a makeup remover, post-shave soother, and baby cream. Who says beauty isn't practical?
After reading the reviews, I'm guessing that I just got a bad batch or something. The creme burned my eyes, hands, and face. It felt like someone put hot coals on my forehead. I'm glad no one else had this reaction. Personally, I want to give it no stars, but I had to give it at least one.1
Parraffinum Liquidum is a fancy word for Mineral Oil! Mineral oil is awful for the skin as it is like putting plastic on your skin and it will not "breath" at all. Mineral oil (Paraffinum Liquidum) is the 2nd Ingredient.
This product sounds wonderful, but I am allergic to dairy and so I cannot use it. I tried a little patch test and it irritated my skin :( At least I got to sample it.1
When I first received the sample of this product, I wasn't quite sure what it was, was it a hand cream sample? a face moisturizer? some sort of medicine? What? Not the mention the official prescription looking paper it came with. When I finally realized it was a moisturizer, I got online to read some reviews, and lo and behold, one of the first ingredients is paraffinum liquidium (a fancy name for mineral oil). Needless to say, I will not be using this product as mineral oil is pore clogging doesn't allow your skin to breathe. I find it quite disconcerting that the ingredients were not listed on the packaging. I'm so glad I checked and found out the ingredient before putting this on my sensitive skin!1
This product made my skin made my skin break out so bad!!1
First off the sample sizes were very small. I did not like the packets. The packaging was HORRIBLE. The entire thing was written in french with no english directions, or even a hint as to what it was. I had to search for it on Birchbox.com to even find out what it was used for. After finding out it was a 24hour anti-aging cream I was sad. I am young and have no need for this. However I read more of what the product does (online of course as again the sample was in all french), and decided to use it anyways. It is supposed to have moisturizing qualities. It left my skin feeling very greasy. I used it on my face and my hands as I rubbed it in. Even after using soap the greasy feeling is still plaguing my skin. It is for this reason that my skin feels smooth. I really don't have wrinkles on my face so as far as that goes, I really have no comment. It does appear to have a semi-firming quality to it per the backs of my hands, however the feeling of the creme itself really over shadows its actual purpose. I would not recommend this product. I will say though it does not have a bad smell.1
It's small and has tons of ingredients that I don't feel comfortable using for anything, let alone using for everything2
I have sensitive skin. Just about every moisturizer, that I have tried makes my skin shiney/oiley looking. This one wasn't any different. I start out using a very small amount. It's applied and I'm rubbing it in well. My face immediately turned red and my face was burning,as if I had a sunburn. I only tried it once. I'm nervous to try it again.2
This was a little too heavy for me - those with dry skin may love this!2
I won't use this because of another reviewer's comment about the mineral oil. Def not good for facial skin...2
