Take a peek in nearly any makeup artists kit and you'll spy a well-loved tube of Embryolisse's cult favorite Lait-Crème Concentré. Since we're just as picky as the pros, you'd better believe we're fans too. This velvety moisturizer gives skin the ultimate silky finish, thanks to generous amounts of soothing shea butter and aloe vera. It's rich without being heavy, and can be used on all skin types. Plus, it doubles as a makeup remover, post-shave soother, and baby cream. Who says beauty isn't practical?
I loved this cream. It left my skin feeling light before I applied my foundation. I enjoy the way it attracts my makeup too.4
I absolutely love this moisturizer! It truly is a miracle cream. I've tried many different moisturizers and this is by far the best. It leaves a nice silky finish...not too oily not too dry. Thanks to birchbox for helping me find it :)4
I ended up purchase this because I didn't get this as a sample. My sister recieved that as a sample and raved about it. Since we share same DNA that we both have dry skin thru Winter and Summer. I didn't feel like wearing make up yesterday so I applied it on over my other serum. I felt like I'm wearing a BB cream (no kidding!).4
This product is fantastic! I would give it 5 stars, but as I only got the sample size I wasn't able to use it for longer than a week, so I can't speak to the long term benefits. My skin is combination so while I have small break outs on my chin, my nose is dry and often flaky. This product not only eliminated the flakes on my nose, it didn't cause any additional breakouts. My skin felt hydrated after applying and when I applied at night, my skin still felt amazing in the morning. I would say this is a heavier moisturizer, so it might not be great if you wear a lot of foundation or concealer. I would (and have) recommended it to family and friends!4
So I put on the cream and I wasn't super impressed. Yah, it went on smooth and didn't feel at all oily, but I didn't really notice a difference in the texture of my skin. A few days later, I touched my face and I was amazed at how soft my skin felt. The only difference I had made in my routine was putting on this cream, so that's gotta be it. I will be buying it - for $16, why not!4
This moisturizer works well, even in tough winter weather you can get relief on dry skin. It does make me feel a little oily, but it doesn't have much of a smell and is lighter than a lot of moisturizers in its caliber which is a win in my book.4
I have to admit, I didn't want to try this stuff because I was worried it'd be too rich for my uber-sensitive skin. But the dry winter air in Arizona was finally getting to me (usually this time of year makes my skin flake off in freaking sheets) so I decided to apply this at night to my face and neck.
It felt. Amazing.
So then, at the urging of the Birchbox fb posting, I decided to try it under my makeup (I use the Wei To Go CC cream, thanks to Birchbox!). Oh man... I'm in love. I mean, I love multiple-duty products, like moisturizer+serums, but this was a fantastic alternative to makeup primer for weekdays (I try to save primer for when I'm going out). Moisturizing, but it left my skin so even (and I hate to say it, velvety) before I applied my CC cream.
I haven't tried it as a hand cream (I usually use Yu-Be on my hands/elbows/lips), but I can imagine it's perfect for hands.
Yeah, the price is high, but you use an infinitesimal amount each day on your face... a full-size tube would last forever. And honestly, Yu-Be cream is just as expensive, but I've had the same tube since September. If you're going to spend money somewhere, it should be on the stuff that goes underneath your makeup -- directly on your skin.
Received this in my birchbox and used it for a week straight - I have combination skin that included dry/flaking patches around my mouth/chin. After a couple days the patches were so much better, and after a week (right when I ran out of the sample) I wanted to buy it! Leaves no trace of product on skin and absorbs right in for a smooth feeling. Try it, you'll love it!4
Very effective as a moisturizer. I use it mostly for my hands as the smell is a bit medicinal and I wouldn't like that for my body.4
Moisturized much better than other brands I've tried to repair my incredibly dry, winter-damaged skin with. However, this was a little heavy and it also kind of smelled like something my grandmother would use.4
