Our moms always reminded us to take our vitamins when we were kids. Now that we’ve left our Flintstones days behind, we’re opting for a different kind of vitamin: serum-filled capsules. Designed for daytime use, the Pro: Vitamin C10 capsules contain 10 percent pure absorbic acid, which brightens your skin tone while also boosting collagen production. At night, apply the Pro: Vitamin A15 capsules, which have 0.15 percent pure retinol to undo sun and free radical damage and soften wrinkles. They come in a convenient 28-pack disc, enough to last you for an entire month.
I notice a difference in my skin hours after use. These vitamins rock.4
This was such an unexpected surprise in my box. I love this product and saw amazing results.5
I had never used a serum quite like this before...maybe I wasn't using enough of it. I like the portion control in the little capsules-it helps to make sure you use enough...it even was able to disperse onto my neck. My skin felt so soft and smooth, especially with the combination of a moisturizer on top of the serum. I would love to get these samples again-I can't quite afford to purchase at the time...not to mention, birchbox sold out! Definitely something I'll keep on my radar.5
I liked the size of the capsules and I did notice a differenc in my skin after using them.4
If you're traveling and want to pack light on the toiletries, these are a great solution. For at home use, you could get the exact same product for less in a different type of container. They worked great, as you would expect Vitamin A and C concentrates to perform.4
I wish the sample had been a little larger. 3 days wasn't enough for me to tell if it made a difference for my skin. The C10 serum burned so I didn't use it after the first capsule. The A15 had a nice texture and I was impressed that I could get my whole face and neck out of one capsule. I have mixed feelings about capsules in general. They would be good for travel and they are sanitary since they are single use. I find them to be a little messy for everyday home use and would prefer a serum in a bottle.2
I liked the product, but it is too expensive to add to my beauty routine. The capsules did have a nice, smooth texture without feeling greasy.3
I like the idea of this product but it is cumbersome to cut open the capsules every morning/evening. I do really like the texture and mixed it with my normal moisturizer. I didnt see any changes in my skin but wouldnt expect to after just a couple days of use. I think I will wait to there is a promotion and then buy a full size to test it out.4
The sample wasn't large enough to tell if my skin would get better with continued use. However, I felt it was as good as using argan oil at night and a local, handmade aloe vera / grape skin cream I put on for the day.
Pricewise, it is expensive.
I like the individual capsules and easy application but I'm already using Vitamin E oil for some scars on my face and the cost of that oil is far less that these capsules. If the capsules give me decent results in the next week or two, I wouldn't consider splurging on them.2
