We’ve bestowed countless superlatives on this beloved dry shampoo. The fine powder revives dirty hair and instantly gives your coif a much-needed volume boost. The tapered nozzle lets you expertly target and zap grease at your roots, while the zesty lemon verbena scent leaves your strands smelling fresh. And we’re not the only ones who are crazy for this essential—the experts at Allure gave it their covetable Best of Beauty Award.
This was the first dry shampoo I ever tried on my fine, oily, limp hair. It doesn't do anything except irritate my scalp; make my hair look less oily but somehow dirtier; decorate my shoulders so I look like I have dandruff; and make me stink like a cheap lemon candle. No thank you.1
I use a lot of dry shampoo as i have an extremely high-maintenance hair color. I usually use a spray-type, but this was rated well so i thought id give it a try. I found that the spray is much better for me as it gives a much more even application. And i thought this had a very unpleasant "chemical" smell, not cute at all. Used it one time, and ill never use it again. Back to my old stuff! Not sure why this is as well-liked as it is, i thought it was absolutely godawful.1
This product was not the best dry shampoo.
I have other ones that worked better like Ojon or Treseme. This just sits in my closet now.
I purchased the full size of this product as I love dry shampoos. I must say though I wasn't happy with this one and have returned it. It is a powder form and difficult to distribute evenly. It left white powder spots in my hair where it was applied no matter how much I brushed or shook my hair out. I'll stick with aerosols from now on.2
I bought this product after watching the Birchbox tutorial on dry shampoo. I wash my hair twice a week, so I reply on dry shampoo about 4 days/week. I have a dirty blonde base, and was surprised how much of a white residue it left. It actually made my hair look gray. Plus, it didn't add much volume. I would use baby powder before purchasing this product again, mainly due to the steep price.2
It seems to me like any other baby powder. You see the white streaks when applied and is no different. It does smell good.2
It's not the best I've used and not the worst. It's sometimes hard to control how much comes out of the tip and you have to be careful to get all of the white powdery residue blended in.3
This is a nice smell and it dried up my hair and left some fun texture but no matter how much I brushed, I always felt the product on my scalp. It made me feel itchy later. I've used many other dry shampoos this one is not my favorite. Actually prefer a drugstore brand over this one. This is kind of like just using cornstarch in your hair with added fragrance.3
I've heard a lot of hype about this product and I even used my BirchBox points to purchase it. I'm not sure why I did now, as it is pretty much baby powder in a fancier bottle. Don't waste your money.3
This product is great for travel - since it is under the allotted size restrictions, but I wish it was in an aerosol. I feel like if it were - then you would get a bit more coverage.3
