This product was not the best dry shampoo.
I have other ones that worked better like Ojon or Treseme. This just sits in my closet now.
It seems to me like any other baby powder. You see the white streaks when applied and is no different. It does smell good.
This product is great for travel - since it is under the allotted size restrictions, but I wish it was in an aerosol. I feel like if it were - then you would get a bit more coverage.
This product does the job, it helps a good blow out last another few days, but be prepared - it has a very distinct smell (kind of like a lemon household cleaner) - if you like it - great, if not - you are stuck with it.
I really wanted to love this product. I've tried tons of dry shampoos, and I had high hopes after reading all of the positive reviews. I will admit that my hair looked pretty good, but it felt absolutely disgusting. I think my hair may be too fine to soak up this product effectively. Sure, it looked alright, but it felt like how I imagine an overly hair sprayed, 1980s pageant contestant's hair to feel.
This is a great dry shampoo, I agree with that. The issue for me was that it showed up as light powder in my dark hair. It wasn't a particularly attractive look. So you will need to be careful in delivering this to your roots. Often too much comes out of that nozzle, making it difficult to control how white your hair turns.
I want to give this a 5-star rating, but the one major hang-up I have with this product is that it makes my dark hair look this funny shade of grey. It does absorb oil and smells great, but the way it coats my hair is so annoying. I never noticed how bad it was until one holiday when a photo of me surfaced on Facebook. I was quite embarrassed with the way it made my hair look. I felt like I looked much older than in real life :(
This dry shampoo smells great, but after more testing I prefer an aerosol......having said that I think it's a good product.
I apply this dry shampoo on those days where I can't be bothered to shower (and don't want to dry out my hair). I have short hair, so I apply it along the part of my hair and find a little goes a long way. My hair feels like it's clean and bouncy again.
My only tip is to make sure you really comb this out, because once I went out with what looked like baby powder in my hair. Ha! But it's great!
I've been using this product for years and have found it to be the best at absorbing oil and making hair that I washed yesterday look like a fresh blowout. However, I have dark brown hair and have to be extra careful to work it in or else my hair will have this ashy, gray color. Oscar Blandi does have a spray for brunettes but I find that the powder does a much better job of absorbing oil and lasts longer throughout the day. If you're prone to a dry scalp, you should also be careful not to use too much product too often.
