Ouidad HydraFusion Intense Curl Cream delivers the holy trinity of curly hair: softness, definition, and frizz-fighting power. Unlike most styling aides, it does all this without any crunch factor. Plus, the moisturizing formula keeps hair hydrated and shiny all day.
Not the product I was hoping for. It weighed my curls down. It was also so soft that my curls were more waves than actual curls. I did like the smell and some of their other products I have enjoyed but this one is just not for me.1
I was excited to try his product out as I have naturally curly hair and live in Texas, where humidity is constant. I used it hen my hair was damp as directed, and it seemed to work alright, but my hair was still frizzy when it dried and didn't seem to let my hair do its own natural curl. It ended up looking more wavy than curly per usual.2
Ok, so this is where I really wish sample boxes could be tailored to your specific needs. I already have curly hair, although frizzy and very unsexy when left without any product. This one aimed to give me 'tighter curls'. Not something I am really hoping is accomplished with my hair, but I was hoping it would help with my overall frizziness and to give some kind of definition to my natural curls. It did neither. I have now used this twice (and only using up the little bit thats left as I don't like wasting anything) and applied after washed with shampoo/conditioner on wet hair. I applied no other product so I could really see what this stuff can do. End result: I would still leave the house with a hat on. Natural curls weren't affected and my hair still looks the same as if I hadn't applied any product. For a brand that is geared towards natural curls and curl enhancement I was hoping for more....2
This product worked wonders on removing any extra frizz I had and by making my hair feel moisturized and healthy compared to the crunchy curls I normally get with mouse or gels.
The only downfall I have with this product is that since it's so intensely moisturizing it made my hair almost look greasy after one day.
I didn't hate this product, but I certainly didn't love it. I used it as my hair was drying and didn't find the curls/waves I was looking for. It is lost among a sea of other hair products now.3
I love that the produce gave me super curls when my hair was so overdamaged and dry from straightening it. But I just hate the smell! I wish they would change it from the baby powder scent to something--anything else!3
I've tried many Ouidad products in the past and this was my least favorite. I purchased it based on the positive reviews I read from other Birchbox customers, but this product didn't really do much for me. I did not get the curl definition that I like and it made my hair feel kind of dry. I was glad to use this up quickly and I will not purchase it again. Try Miss Jessie's Quick Curls or Pillow Soft Curls instead.3
This product works. I have A LOT of wavy/curly hair and just a good amount that the sample brought was more than enough. It wasn't sticky or left any residue. My hair was flexible and not "crunchy" at all.3
Love this product. It leaves my hair soft, with a natural looking curl and it doesn't weigh it down like most products. Thank you!3
I have a LOT of fine, curly hair (think Keri Russell or Julia Roberts) that has plenty of body and a tendency to frizz. Where I live it is very humid so I am always looking for something that helps maintain shape and can stand up against the humidity. I have to use about 4-5 pumps, and it takes several hours for it to really look nice. If I put in less, it doesn't hold the shape, but with that much, it goes through a phase that is sticky and sort of stiff. I let it air dry and for the first four hours or so it looks like my hair is still wet, then it settles into a nice cult pattern. If I try to break it up with my fingers before it settles on my own it gets frizzy. I really wanted this to work but its just too much messing about to get a consistent stye that I am happy with. I will stick with the Ouidad gel + a cream or oil smoother, which is what I use now. I really wanted this to work. Maybe in a less humid place or in hair that has a tighter spiral?4
