Elizabeth Arden’s apricot-hued cream is such a classic, we think it deserves a display in the Smithsonian. Developed in 1930 by the beauty maven herself, the award-winning formula enjoyed instant global success and has never gone out of style. The creamy, multi-purpose salve not only hydrates dry skin, it adds shine to lips and lids, tames unruly brows, conditions cuticles, and even soothes minor scrapes and sunburns.
My mom always had this with her. She uses it on cuts and burns and sunburned areas. However, she never used it as a moisturizer. Seriously, though, this is pretty thick and extremely hydrating and kinda greasy, which would most likely make your face break out if you use it as a facial moisturizer. My lips have been extremely chapped the past few days, so I thought I should put some of the product on my lips to rehydrate them overnight. It unfortunately didn't work as well as usual, and so that's why I took off a star. My lips are still really chapped despite repeated applications... Other than that, this is a great product. My only other note is that there are many similar products for less money that work about the same in my opinion.4
I love all purpose skin protectants. I was very excited for this sample. Maybe it works well on the skin, but it's impossible to know because this stuff smells horrible. I'm not sensitive to smells and I can stand a lot, but this stuff made me wretch. It smells like someone sprayed generic flower air freshener in a hospital corridor. The smell lingers on the skin as long as the product is there, so I had to wash it off. I have to ask, did I get a rancid sample, or is this stuff supposed to smell like this?1
I mean it honestly feels like every other moisturizer I've ever used, so I wouldn't repurchase because of the price4
the texture is gross.... thats all there is to it. hate this
went in trash
This is basically a glorified, overpriced petroleum jelly. It says good for cracked lips but tastes and smells gross and does little to make my lips soft. I'm not impressed. I could see using it as a cuticle cream though, but for the price it just isn't worth it.2
I was so excited when I got the preview, that this brand was included because I really wanted to try their moisturizer however the sample was tiny! What does that brand think of the consumer, if it is trying to share their brand, but do not give enough of a sample to even apply twice to the face. So disapinted4
My face dries out terribly in the winter months, and this is great to apply before bed...it is very thick and creamy, and can leave your face feeling greasy, but I've never had any breakouts because of using this product.5
This is a great product!! I love that it leaves my face feeling smooth!!4
I love it. Your sking is very smooth after using this product. I couldnt go without it and i will be buying it soon thru birchbox.4
The product itself works well, but I prefer the Dr. Lipp nipple balm for a comparable product. This has a really really weird chemical type smell to it and for that reason alone I wouldn't purchase it.2
