Elizabeth Arden’s apricot-hued cream is such a classic, we think it deserves a display in the Smithsonian. Developed in 1930 by the beauty maven herself, the award-winning formula enjoyed instant global success and has never gone out of style. The creamy, multi-purpose salve not only hydrates dry skin, it adds shine to lips and lids, tames unruly brows, conditions cuticles, and even soothes minor scrapes and sunburns.
I am so happy Birchbox carries this cream now, I've always had to get it from Amazon. You read so many amazing reviews of this cult classic and don't believe how great it is until you've tried it. It's heavy, on doubt about it, but worth it. With these harsh NYC winters, I put it on almost every night over serum, and although it's thick, by morning your skin will guaranteed be softer than any other moisturizer. But it gets better: use it on your hands, cuticles, feet. Not sticky, and no bad smell.5
I bought this with some hesitation, because it seemed a little too good to be true. However, I am so happy I did! I love it! I use it all the time- lips, elbows, face, feet..pretty much all over. I also use a retinoic acid product on my face and it leaves my skin flaky- and this is perfect as a moisturizer. I'm always raving about how great it and often tell my friends about using it. Elizabeth Arden makes timeless products and this is one of them. With winter coming up I will buy a few - also a great stocking stuffers or for the holidays or 'just because gifts'5
This product does it all! Lips, dry patches, taming hair flyaways, cuticles- the list goes on and on. I really enjoy this the most on my lips during the cooler and drier months. I highly recommend this product. While you may think it is a little pricey, it lasts for ever.5
I love this product! A little goes a long way and there are so many ways to use it. I use it daily on my lips and I like to add whatever product is left to my cuticles. It's too gooey to use as a normal moisturizer so I'll apply it to areas that need some extra moisture before going to sleep. I also use it for "no makeup" days, I'll put a tiny bit on my eyelids, above my cheekbones and on my lips. If I want a dewy look I'll add a very small amount to a cream blush and use it on my cheeks, lips and sometimes as an eyeshadow, it looks very natural and pretty, like you just went running through a field (minus the running and the allergies).5
I use this for everything since my best friend's maleup artist for her wedding "brought it back". Lips, chaffing - i love it.5
I have been buying this cream for years now and I use it in a variety of ways:
- heavy night eye cream (skin plumper)
-cuts and razor burns
- mix it it with light oil-free moisturizer to make heavy duty overnight moisturizer cream
- lip balm
I have been using this for years and a little bit goes a long way. I primarily use it for my lips, but it is great for little dry spots on my face, or for keeping my cuticles in good shape. The smell is very nice, and I like the bit of sheer orange color on my lips. My daughter loves it, too.5
When first opened, the smell is not inviting. When first used, it seems greasy. However, I stuck with it and found the smell dissipates and that over time works fairly well. It's no miracle, but skin does show improvement.5
This product does it all! It heals cracked heels, chapped skin, cuts, etc. When my skin is super dry after skiing, I love using this product.5
I have not only extremely dry, older skin, but eczema as well and have always had difficulty keeping it moisturized. My skin never felt fresh before, but rather lizard-like.
Now after using E.Arden's Cream several times a week I can feel and see my skin's suppleness returning.
