To be fair, I hate the smell of lavender so clearly I hated the smell of this shampoo. Besides the smell I found it had no benefit for my hair. My hair felt dry and tangled easily after using it ( I used the conditioner with it) and my scalp felt oily. By noon my hair was flat and lifeless. Overall this just was not for me.

Nice

This is a very conditioning shampoo. The shampoo and conditioner are a great combo for frizzy hair.

Cleans well and smells really good. Could do more for greasy hair but ok in my book!

Too many shampoos

I receive way too many hair products when I repeatedly choose to have the fewest number of hair products sent to me. Not sure why this keeps happening, but it really is making me want to quit Birchbox.

Highly Allergic
Unfortunately the smell was too much and the allergic reaction to this shampoo was horrible. I am not able to use any of this brand shampoo or conditioner. I was hopeful by trying a second time and same reaction.

Doesn't seem super color-safe for my vivid-colored hair
Sampled
It's my fault for not checking the actual ingredients, of which the second one is sodium laureth sulfate. I know it's not as harsh as other sulfates, but it still seems like something I'd trust wouldn't be in a shampoo that labels itself color-safe. My hair is dyed purple (fashion/vivid colors wash out more quickly than regular color) and it was the third or fourth wash after the initial treatment, so i knew I would still be losing some color, but the suds in this shampoo were as dark purple as they were during the first shampoo after the initial color. Definitely a lot darker purple than previous shampoos. I feel like I lost a lot of color with this shampoo. Again, my fault for not checking the label, and for natural shades it might be fine. But if you have vivid colors in your hair, I'd avoid this one.

left my hair with a really nice smell. Cleaned well without leaving my hair totally stripped of all oils.
