These are not the bobby pins of your grade school years. (Unless you came of age in a parallel universe with much better hair accessories, in which case we want to hear all about it.) Jane Tran’s eye-catching bobby pins, in bright patterns and colors, are made to stand out. Slightly wider and sturdier than the typical hairpin, they’ll keep your hair in place all day.
ordered the more neutral colored ones (perhaps i would have been happier with the bright colors....). These bobbies seem no wider or sturdier than standard bobbies and the protective coating on the end came off the very first pin i slipped off the sleeve. Nothing special or nice about these pins in any way. However!!!...the carrying plastic case is nice with a sliding top. Not worth it by any stretch of the imagination. Sorry...1
This is not what I expected. The description made the bobby pins sound like they are bigger than normal bobby pins - however, when I received them, that was totally not the case. The box is also made of flimsy plastic, and was already broken when it arrived! So disappointing, as this is to be a gift.2
I was excited about ordering these until they arrived and I realized how tiny they were. For some reason I was under the impression they were a bit larger than ordinary bobby pins and as I quickly found out they are the exact same tiny size. The colors are fun but definitely not worth the price.2
i thought that these were going to be larger bobby pins for the 12 dollar price tag. disappointed. they're even skinnier than the bobby pins that i bought at a local drugstore. the only plus is the fun colors. fyi: the plastic holder/package it comes in is literally like 3 inches tall by 1.5 inches wide.
so if you dont mind the price, go for it.
I wanted to like these, but just didn't. The colors are super cute, but they don't lay flat in my hair like traditional bobby pins do, and for the price, I'd rather they be super awesome than just "eh."2
Since these don't have any ridges and are very tight, I find it very hard to put it and hold as a regular bobby pin would. I have to use regular bobby pins to hold in the hair and maybe put one of these in as an accent. It definitely doesn't hold the hair very well on it's own.2
I bought these thinking they would be a bit bigger than normal bobby pins but I was sorely wrong. They are smaller than so and paying this price for bobby pins makes me want to cry. Don't bother with these unless you just want them for the cute patterns.3
For some reason, I thought these bobby pins were going to be more thick, like the Birchbox ones that used to be available. To my disappointment, they were like the thin ones you get at drug stores. The plus is that they come in very bright hues and are almost an accessory on their own. The minus is that they seem a little expensive for what they are. If they hold up well, it might be worth the money (the cheap ones at drug stores peel too easily) and I may be back for more!3
These are good quallity bobby pins that grip tightly and stay in well. The only drawback is the price. Good colors.3
These are totally adorable, but theyre a bit big for my liking and I found hard to get out of my hair. Like I said, super cute...just didn't work for me!3
