Stila Kitten is a highly talked about product in the youtube community especially with beauty gurus. So glad I was able to get this product free from the Birchbox store with the points I have accumulated from reviews. Just as fabulous as everyone made it out to be! Worth the hype!5
I (like the rest of the beauty fanatics of the world) have heard about Kitten eyeshadow for a long time, and many months ago I finally caved and purchased it using BB points. When a product like this has been hyped up so much for so long, it's hard to live up to expectations, but this was a really great eyeshadow. I think the color was lighter than I expected, and it is outrageously shimmery, so I find that I can't use it every day. However, the texture is great and the pigmentation is awesome. Mine got a little bit crumbly on one edge when I had it in my travel makeup bag, and though it wasn't completely ruined, it stinks that I can't carry it around with me anymore for fear that it will shatter.4
I love how this goes on smooth, and stays where I put it. I do use a powder base first, but then the Stilla just stays and stays! :)4
Kitten is one of the most universal shades and has a shimmer that is subtle enough for daily wear. I wear it without any eyeliner and with a lengthening mascara so the eyes really pop. I would definitely repurchase but a little goes a long way. One thing to be careful about is the tin--this shadow is easy to shatter!4
I have never used Stila products, but I will now. I purchased this eye shadow in Kitten, a very slightly warm neutral with shimmer. A little goes a long way and blends nicely. I wear it all day, and it still looks good. Now I need to replace my other eye shadows!4
I got this shadow in Cloud, a beautiful shimmery neutral with blended tones of grey, beige and lavender. Not only is the color incredibly wearable, the formula applies and blends easily and sticks around all day. I dig it.4
I LOVE Stila. I've never been disappointed with the quality of any Stila products, and their eye shadow is my favourite. I have Terracotta and Sun, which go beautifully together (I use them for an either a neutral eye with a pop of color or an intense, warm-toned smokey eye) as well as a couple of the countless Color shadows. They all are intensely pigmented and apply smoothly and feel soft and light. My only wish is that they made more matte shadows!5
This was one of my first purchases from Birchbox. I got a Stila smokey eye sample and really liked it, and had been wanting a ridiculously bright orange shadow for a while, so I was excited to see that Stila had the shade I wanted. However, it's been a wash. I've tried it over a few different primers, cream eye shadow, and bare skin... I've tried applying it dry and wet, with a brush and just with my finger, and I just can't get it to stick or work up to any noticeable color. It's especially disappointing, considering the bright shade I expected.
The smokey eye shadows didn't have this problem. The texture and staying power for them was just fine. Maybe it's just their brights that fall short? I probably won't be trying again, though.
I didn't use make up or any beauty products until I was in my 40's yes I said it... I was a blonde hair, 5'9" with baby blue eyes and didn't have a fat on my bones for nothing ... never needed beauty products but when the wrinkles came I ran to see what I could do and Stila was the first company I used. .lol... wrinkles are still there but my beauty world I would have never met with out the help of my wrinkles lol...5
This is the best eye shadow I have used, the colors are beautiful and it has incredible staying power. This shadow last all day.5
