Some things are meant to last forever: Love, cast iron skillets. Spatulas, not so much. If the last time you bought a new spatula was around the same time you bought Nirvana’s Nevermind, it’s time for an update. Try this pretty, practical set, which includes three bamboo-and-silicone spatulas. It comes in four city-inspired shades: Madrid, Rome, London, and Paris.
Love the bright colors. Spatulas work great! Have held up great so far! Love the variety of sizes that come with the set.5
I L-O-V-E kitchen utensils. To me, they are the "jewelry" of my kitchen. I thought the colors were fun, purchased to sets (one for me - one for the daughter) and I couldn't wait to receive them in the mail. I'm sadly disappointed with them. The handles do not feel sturdy - so afraid they are going to snap in my hand while stirring with them. The rubber is not sturdy and feels "limp". They are pretty standing in my crock - but not functional. So sad...2
These are fun color spatulas that brightens up cooking. Cleaning was very easy pop the end off and toss into the dishwasher.4
The colors are really bright so they play up your utensil drawer in the kitchen! The big spatula is a decent size, and the other two are perfect for their own practical use. I used the two smaller ones when I was baking and was very happy with the handling.4
These spatulas get the job done. As part of the Home Box, it was a great addition, however I prefer spatulas with silicone handles, too.3
I got a chance to put these spatulas to the test over the holiday and I can say that I love them! The handles are long enough to give great leverage on even the deepest of mixing bowls I own (it holds 25 cups, so it's pretty big...) and the three different sizes are so useful. I made a batch of caramel corn and mixed it up with the largest spatula--easy peasy. I used the littlest one to scrape out the last drops of sweetened condensed milk from the can for my pumpkin pie. The only thing that bugged me a bit was the first couple of times I used the largest spatula I got little splinters of bamboo in my hand because the handle was a bit rough. That has fixed itself with time and use, but I'm sure a little sandpaper would have done the trick, too. Love these, I'll be looking for more Core Bamboo products in the future.5
Nice colorful spatula set but not as practical as I would have hoped. Special care needed when cleaning and more of a novelty than for practical use.3
I like these spatula sizes and colors, however they cannot go in the dishwasher or soak in water for a long time because of the bamboo handle which makes them difficult to clean when in the middle of baking or cooking.3
I really like the cool colors and they seem like they are durable too. They seem to have a funky smell and hope that will go away after I wash them. I like the 3 sizes and can't wait to use them.5
Spatulas are used quite often in my kitchen and I would personally prefer ones that I do not have to take special care of (hand wash only, limit water exposure). There was also a very weird odor when I took them out of the package in my Home Birchbox.
The size, shape and color of these spatulas is very appealing.
