The only thing worse than chapped lips? Sticky, waxy lips. S.W. Basics all-natural balm soothes dry, cracked mouths without depositing tacky residue or excess shine. Packed in a cute tin with four delicious scents (Peppermint, Cocoa, Cinnamon, and Citrus), the beeswax-based line-up has a salve to suit any mood.
I received the cinnamon lip balm in my box. It was not an ordinary flavor, so I tried to adjust. I could not get past the flavor. The lip balm itself was about average with any other beeswax-based product. I may have been more suited for a different flavor. I plan to pass this one to a girlfriend who may be better suited.3
I got cardamom in my box, strange flavor for a lip balm. natural and moisturizing, but can not get over the spicy exotic flavor3
I liked this product, but can't say I loved it. The beeswax does make it go on very smoothly and it did soften my lips. However, I didn't care for the scent.3
this was a very small sample size but I like to try different products for my lips before I purchase them and often that it out of the questions so I was glad to see these in my box.3
It does a fantastic job of what a balm is supposed to do. It moisturizes and feels nice for the application of the product.
The packaging is the generic 'Chapstick' type applicator and has clear plastic. It may be due the the type of plastic lent it self to melt faster/easier than other balms.
The scent of the Lip balm was the main reason for only 3 stars. I love citrus scents and I always gravitate towards that scent when there is an option. However this scent smelled similar to citrus scented cleaners. I would think that for a natural product it would smell less chemical and more..well ...natural.
I received the Cinnamon balm and like it, but don't love it. It's a little too strong, but I do like the chapstick itself.3
I don't normally like flavored lip balm or chapsticks, but the cinnamon lip balm I received is a light flavor and not overwhelming. It works great!3
I love that this product is made from natural ingredients, but was a little disappointed that the lip balm had a thin texture that didn't seem to really seal in lip moisture as effectively as other products I've used. It also wore off pretty quickly and needed frequent re-applications.3
Honestly, this is a fine product, but I feel like I currently have about 100 lip balms. There wasn't anything bad about the sample, but nothing life changing either. I'll use this sample but I'm not sure the price is worth buying any more.3
I sampled the citrus flavor in this month's Birchbox and I loved the scent. The balm went on smoothly and it lasted longer than some of the "natural" brands I've used, but I found the "Yes to..." brand to last longer. Great scent and cute packaging idea, but not sure about the other flavors.3
