The only thing worse than chapped lips? Sticky, waxy lips. S.W. Basics all-natural balm soothes dry, cracked mouths without depositing tacky residue or excess shine. Packed in a cute tin with four delicious scents (Peppermint, Cocoa, Cinnamon, and Citrus), the beeswax-based line-up has a salve to suit any mood.
BAD, BAD, BAD - the texture is terrible, actually felt like they dried my lips out. Sad to say I threw them out.1
I am a lip balm snop. I agree that the chocolate smell is a little strong, but it also faded after you open the set. The lip balms are amazing. They are very smooth and creamy, really moisturizing. I would call it a lip balm/ lotion. Really if the worse thing that happens is my lip balm smells to much like chocolate, I say that is a good day. :)5
I love lip balms. So, when I saw this cute tin with 4 tubes, I had to order. I am not into cinnamon so I gave this one to a friend. The others are so wonderful. I may have a new brand. These balms left my lips moisturized and fixed the chap without any issues.4
I love lip balm, I have about a zillion including one in every coat and every purse. This one isn't anything extra-special but it worked just fine for me, although the scent was a little strong for my taste.4
I bought these on a whim for my husband for Christmas. We both love them! I love that they are all natural (since balms tend to end up in the mouth more often than not), they smell fantastic and feel great on. Added to that, the price is very competitive. When we run out, we will definitely snag some more.5
Just received my S.W. Basics Lip Balm and I am IN LOVE! I love a good chapstick or lip balm and try to go with more natural ones. This hits the nail on the head! Smells great, goes on smooth, lasts hours, and most importantly helps my chapped lips! :)5
Other reviewers have mentioned that the more powerful scents overpower the softer scents in the tin. I didn't pay attention to this problem and unfortunately, now I know they were right. The cocoa scent has been completely absorbed into the citrus scent, which is a bit of a gross combination (and the fake scent of cocoa is completely unappealing to me). I would honestly only recommend this to someone interested in a chocolate scented lip balm because it is so strong. The others, that I thought I would enjoy, aren't very strong and have been totally overpowered by the cocoa. The tin/balms are cute, and the lip balm works, but if you're not one for very strong, specific scents, I wouldn't recommend it.2
I really love how moisturized my lips feel after using these and the natural ingredients last quite a while. My only complaints are the smell of the cinnamon and the citus. I have the peppermint to my husband so I can't say if this applies to it, but the cocoa smell it's so strong from the cocoa butter that they smell really funky mixed. It's this the cinnamon and cocoa butter and citrus and cocoa butter and trying to over power each other. The smells wear down a bit after it starts absorbing but it's bad when you first apply them.4
This is the best lip balm I have ever tried! Usually natural balms don't last very long, but this is the exception. They last a long time and keep my lips soft. I have an allergy to most other lip balms (imagine what a duck looks like) and I am just so happy that Birchbox introduced me to this company!!5
I consider myself balm obsessed. I recently heard this is so great and not waxy!!! I agree. It's like butter. I have been exfoliating and using this and it's a great combo.5
