Here’s a quick lesson in skincare history: In West Africa, traditional black soap is made by mixing the ash and barks of local plants with healing oils. Rich in vitamins A and E, it’s become prized by women around the world for its abilities to battle blemishes and the signs of skin aging. This rich cleansing and exfoliating bar from Shea Terra Organics is the real deal. Made with USDA-certified organic ingredients, it retains all the medicinal benefits of the original African soap.
This soap really works well on combo, sensitive skin in the Summer. Use this along with a rotating brush and you will see clearer pores. Also, it tones without drying.3
It doesn't dry out my skin, and I do feel that it helps with the oily/combination skin. I like that it's not scented (I have sensitive skin). But It did nothing for my acne..3
am obsessed with this product! I recommend it to everyone who will listen. The bar gets a better lather than the pump but the whole product line is great3
I typically have dry skin around my cheeks and I'm prone to breakouts on my chin and forehead. I started using this soap hoping it would diminish my number of breakouts. I gave it a good few weeks but didn't see any change. Be careful when applying straight to your face because there are rough particles in the soap that can hurt you. Also, this stuff didn't stink to me but at the same time it didn't smell wonderful. I wouldn't recommend.3
I got this product because I was intrigued by all the reviews on how good it was for the skin, etc. I agree the smell is not the best, but it reminds me of a campfire, etc. So it's at least tolerable, and for me the smells gone once I toweled off. The downside for me is how rough the soup is. I like exfoliates, but its hard to even lather up with your hands because of the texture. I'm still going to try it out and see how it goes. So far I'm not unhappy with it, but I'm still on the fence as to whether its helping my skin or not.3
It helped with my back acne but it does turn your entire shower black.4
I like this soap , I use it as a mask and for an all over body mask . My skin feels tightened and smooth after I rinse . I haven't seen any real difference in breakouts but I think I need to use it for a longer time4
makes my skin sooo smooth. idk if there has been any help w imperfections but i think this stuff is a must try. i believe it should be $5 considering the size though4
Works well. Lather is plush and cleans well without stripping. Tested on myself and my teen and worked well for both of our needs. The only drawback is the charcoal scent- thankfully it does not linger at all.4
It's not terrible. Not the greatest smell in the world. Seems like a normal face soap. Perhaps after a few weeks it will help acne but i like the lather you get from it.4
