Here’s a quick lesson in skincare history: In West Africa, traditional black soap is made by mixing the ash and barks of local plants with healing oils. Rich in vitamins A and E, it’s become prized by women around the world for its abilities to battle blemishes and the signs of skin aging. This rich cleansing and exfoliating bar from Shea Terra Organics is the real deal. Made with USDA-certified organic ingredients, it retains all the medicinal benefits of the original African soap.
This soap is really great after using it on my face it left my skin bright and so clean I will continue to use5
It works so well and it makes my skin so soft! I use it on my whole body. The only thing is, it makes my skin a little dry and you have to be REAL careful when using the bar on bare skin, it's given me a few decent scratches, so put it on your hands first then apply it to your body. Or put it on a wash cloth and rub it together before applying it to your skin. The scratches really hurt... Lol.
Also, I have eczema on the back of my arms and my thighs, and I've only used it for a few days and it's already cleared some of it up! And m
Overall, it has more pros then cons!
I was hesitant to buy this because it is, well, black soap... I was having visions of it staining my shower grout. But, it surprisingly works rather well! The smell was a bit of a turn-off right out of the box (ashy, but not like the reminiscent campfire). But the scent doesn't linger much, and is totally bearable when lathered up. The suds had kind of a brown tinge at the base of my loofa, but was white for the most part. And my skin does feel a bit firmer after use.4
I wanted to try out this product to see if it lived up to the expectations of the positive reviews I read! It absolutely did! It cleared up my skin like you wouldn't believe! Amazing product! I would recommend it to anyone.5
used my birch points to buy and i absolutely love it... makes a noticeable difference...just keep using it , you will see. I'ts magical !4
Ok so when I first got this soap I was extremely excited. I literally tore open the box and ran to the bathroom to take a shower. As soon as I started working up a lather with this soap I cringed. This soap is extremely dark and when in use, the lather even looks like dirt. If you sit it on the side of your tub, it leaves a dirt residue. So I am not even kidding when I say it took me a few weeks before I built up the courage to put it on my face. There isn't really a pleasing smell to this soap, but dear lord does it get the job done. Since I have started using it, I have noticed less acne issues on my face as well as my upper back. I never had a huge body acne problem, but since I have started working out 24/7 I will get random bumps. This soap as pretty much eliminated that problem. Definitely give it a try and if your a very visual person. Close your eyes the first time you go to use it. lol :)4
I love that this product is the real African soap and not imitation. And you can tell by the way it works. It has a nice lather and smells fresh. I love using it as a mask and my face feels so clean and soft afterwards.5
I love this stuff .
So great on the skin really makes my skin feel refreshed.
This stuff comes highly recommended.
I love this soap. I've used ABS before, but not this brand, and I like this one best out of all. While it does leave a black residue in the sink (easily rinsed away) after use, it smoothes and clears my skin like no other product. It balances out my oily skin, inhibits breakouts and just makes my skin look so nice that I get tons of compliments on it.5
I like this soap. I am getting more of it. It works well on breakouts. Downside: turns my shower black, can scratch and break the skin, smells funny.4
