Like a sturdy roll of duct tape, this multitasking spray is the ultimate quick-fix product. Part dry shampoo, part texturizer, its unique formula soaks up oils in grimy hair, and gives your flattened, blown-out coif an instant dose of altitude. Waking up late never felt so serene. Patented polymers absorb oil to give hair a rough-and-tumble texture, while adding a bit of hold to keep things in place—all without the powdery residue that some dry shampoos leave behind.
The smell of this spray is unreal. It is hard to see the distinction between a regular old dry shampoo and a dry shampoo + texturizer...most dry shampoos add texture as well anyway. It works well as both, but for the amount it costs, I don't think there is enough of an incentive to give up a dry shampoo that you might already be comfortable with.4
I have a lot of very fine hair, so finding styling products (besides stiff hairspray) that add volume and style without being either crunchy or greasy is difficult. This stuff is GREAT. It is NOT a dry shampoo, so, not sure why people are bothered by the non-dry shampooness. It's a styling product and it adds great volume and texture to my short, fine hair. I just spray it all around my head, and it makes my hair look like I just left the salon. If I need extra long-lasting hold, I use hair spray in addition. This is great for my hair. Best product I use.4
I have super fine hair and always on the hunt for anything to help give my pony tails or up-dos added "oomph" without having to use clip-ins or extensions. The Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray is the perfect compromise for added volume and texture on those days. Without any of the residue from other dry shampoos and volumizers.
Biggest pro and surprise was the added shine. Biggest con is the price.
Originally tried it out at a beauty salon, but didn't buy due to the price. Was happy to see I could buy on Birchbox using my points for a bit of a discount on the full size.
Not love, but like! I use this the second day of waving/curling my hair. It is a good refresher in the morning to give my hair more texture and get rid of any oil that may have gathered on my hair (if I blowdry my hair, it automatically goes straight without the use of a brush, and the next day it looks SO gross that this product can't even revive it, so it only works for me on second day wavy hair). The smell is fabulous, and I love that weird/rough texture that it gives my hair.. And it doesn't make it LOOK dirty which is good!4
I like this product, but not necessarily as a texturizing spray. I use it more as a light hairspray. But it's still a great product!4
This is the first time I used an Oribe product and was very excited by all the hype. I find it works great on my short bob adding texture and bounce without any crunch, it also smells amazing. Only giving it 4 stars because I tried it when I had very long hair and I felt like it didn't really give any results, I still needed full on dry shampoo.4
I was very excited to try this, and I was not disappointed. It smells great and leaves my hair soft, but hold style really well! It didn't really work for me as a dry shampoo, but it's absolutely amazing as a hairspray.4
This spray does an awesome job at helping achieve volume while also acting as a dry shampoo. The smell (like all Oribe products) is the best! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because if you use too much, it can make hair a bit stringy. Overall, great product!4
Great product but very much on the high end price wise. This was more of a luxury purchase for me.4
I have fine, thin, color treated hair that is normally pretty flat looking. The texture spray makes it feel much thicker. I can use it to help scrunch my hair as well.4
