Forget those skin-cracking concoctions of the past; this transformative treatment is a better kind of mud mask. Laced with jojoba, it uses pure Dead Sea mud and Kaolin white clay to detoxify skin without stripping it of moisture. Best of all, it works in just two minutes!
I bought this to primarily use as a mask but I dont see much of a difference afterwards. Especially since you only leave it on for 2 mins. This is amazing as a spot treatment. The best I have probably ever used. I have occasional hormonal acne and I put this right on my pimple and its almost gone by the morning. Highly recomment as a spot treatment!!5
I visited the Dead Sea in 2010 and have been using Ahava products ever since. I purchased the Purifying Mud Mask from the store on site. It has the same effect as using the mud that is located at the dead sea, wonderful! I use about 3x a month and the bottle lasts a little under a year (a little goes a long way). I also put a little dot on blemishes that I see starting to appear, and this helps dry it out. It leaves my skin feeling super smooth and silky, and it is not too dry after washing off.5
I decided to try a mud mask once or twice a week. This one is clear after rubbed in and you only leave it on for a few minutes. My face feels refreshed after use.4
I love AHAVA products. They are a little pricey but well worth the money. They are gentle and effective. The mud mask only takes a few minutes which is great b/c I don't like walking around for 10-20 minutes like I had to with my old brand. All the ingredients are safe- no nasty stuff like parabens. I look forward to using it every week! Oh, and it leaves my skin soft not dried out like a lot of other mud masks.5
Loved the feeling my face had after using this mask!! Definitely a must for regular make up wearers! Leaves your face so smooth.5
This mask works wonders. It is a think mask that definitely deep cleans pores. I noticed my pores minimized after using this product and the skin feels very clean. No strong scent to it.5
This mask is amazing! I felt it working as it was drying but it didn't zap my skin of all moisture. My skin looked healthy without any redness or irritation. After reading other reviews, I will have to test it for a spot treatment.5
When I first got this product as a box sample, I used it as a mask. It worked well, but not better than a drug store mud mask. However, I recently used it as a spot treatment and the results were fantastic. I apply it at night and in the morning any spots I had are gone. Most acne spot treatments I have used really irritate my skin and do not take care of the zit in question. This stuff just dries them right out, but it does so gently. Also, the green tint in the mud has really helped with general redness. $31 is a little insane for a spot treatment, but since the sample size lasted almost three months, I'm betting I can get my money's worth. Also, I will probably still use it as a mask occasionally, since I've found it minimizes my pores.4
OK, just OK. This mask was easy to apply, unlike other masks that are really thick and peel up as you try to slather them on or are so thin that they dry as you spread them. The smell wasn't bad for a clay mask. It did take longer than 2 minutes to dry, but wiped off cleanly with warm water. My skin doesn't really look any different than if I had just washed it as I normally do, but it's a little softer than usual. I'm not displeased, but I'm not all that impressed either.3
I have used this a few times since I got it a week ago (3 times total). Maybe I am using it too often, but it does dry my skin out a little bit. However, it is also winter, so it could be that, too. This does dry into a mask, but the directions only say to leave it on 2-3 mins. I leave it on for at least 5 so it dries more completely. I tend to like a mask that gets a little harder and feels like it's sucking dirt out of my pores. This doesn't do this as much as drug store brands I have tried, but I still like it. It seems high-quality. My skin feels refreshed and soft afterwards. I am not yet sold on it, but I think I need to try it in different seasons to be sure it isn't drying my skin out too much.3
