The product that has had the most radical (positive) effect on our beauty regimen isn’t a miracle cream or a long-wearing lipstick. It’s a piece of super soft elastic. Twistbands are a permanent fixture in the Birchbox office—on staffers’ wrists, in their ponytails, and even decorating their water bottles. We’re fans because they keep hair secure without snagging strands or leaving behind ugly creases. (And because they’re cute, of course.) This exclusive set includes 15 of our favorites, from lace to neon varieties, plus three holiday-appropriate headbands.
I love these hairties! I never got to sample one in my Birchbox so I took the plunge and bought them. I love the bright colors, they look great on my wrist and they're super comfortable in my hair. I have pretty fine hair so I have to wrap them around a few times, but other than that, they're great!4
I gave this to a friend of mine who has long hair. It was a great selection of different colors and sizes including hair bands. To tell you the truth, I plan to order it for myself too.4
I love the twistband! My only complaint is that my hair is relatively thin and thus I have to secure them one or two loops tighter than a lot of people probably do...the twistband seems to have stretched out a little bit because of this. BUT they also seem to go back to their original form after a day or so of not wearing them. And the headbands are GREAT!! Only headband I can wear that stays on my head! =)4
I have very fine hair that gets creased very quickly from normal hairbinders. Not only do Twistbands come in fun colors, but they don't crease my hair or pull it out when I remove them. The only negative is they seem to stretch out very quickly, resulting in having to wrap them several times around my ponytail.4
I buy these for my two year old. They hold her baby fine hair perfectly and do not pull any hair out when removed. I'm also in the process of growing out a pixie cut. The headbands are perfect.4
I love these little ties, they don't pull my hair when I take them and they stay in really good.4
The set is nice - with the exception of the two neon colors. I think there should be options as to what color scheme you want included cause some I won't use.
Also at the end of the day, these twistbands wear out extremely fast, they loose their color and get fraid looking at the ends, so I'm not sure how much of a bargain they really are.
The bands come in a fun variety of colors and textures. They are very soft and I do need to twist them several times to hold my slippery hair, but they do not kink afterwards.4
I love how these stay put without tangling and they look cute if they are just hanging out on my wrist. They are fun to mix and match colors. My only complaint is that a twistband can occasionally lose a bit of stretch or start to fray on the end. When that happens, it just needs a little extra wrap in your hair and a bit of a trim with a small pair of scissors. (This has only happened to my black twistband that I've worn dozens of times.)4
Don't stretch out too much (except for the thinner bands; go for the thick bands). Great colors. Don't break the hair. They're on re-order for when I eventually lose them all!5
