The product that has had the most radical (positive) effect on our beauty regimen isn’t a miracle cream or a long-wearing lipstick. It’s a piece of super soft elastic. Twistbands are a permanent fixture in the Birchbox office—on staffers’ wrists, in their ponytails, and even decorating their water bottles. We’re fans because they keep hair secure without snagging strands or leaving behind ugly creases. (And because they’re cute, of course.) This exclusive set includes 15 of our favorites, from lace to neon varieties, plus three holiday-appropriate headbands.
I really wanted to like these because they're really cute-looking, but they don't work well in my hair. I wear headbands and ponytail holders to work out and these don't stay put in my fine hair. The ponytail holders slip off during virorous workouts and the headbands slide off my head. They might work better for someone with thicker hair.3
Absolutely love the bands. Must be confident to wear them if you wearing on wrist. I've been asked many times if they were hospital bands (on the bright colors). Keeps creases or snags out. I have thin hair and a funky shaped head so any headband is a challenge to keep in place. If you have a round head and/or thick hair, you may want to stick to the ties.4
I really like that these don't break or kink my very fine hair. This sampler set was the perfect thing for me because I wasn't sure what I wanted and now I have a variety of colors, sizes, and widths.5
I received a twistband hair tie as a sample in one of my birchboxes and loved it so much that I then bought this set. I love it all!! I have thick, curly hair and the hair ties and headbands stay all day long. I have even worn them working out and they stay just as well.5
i really liked these. they are cute and fun and you can wear them with anything. the only problem was that my hair was too thick and it couldnt hold all of my hair in one. but if youre looking to just wear it on your wrist or something like that, its great!4
There are good and bad things about these bands. I like the smaller bands because they hold my ponytail nicely. The don't wrap tightly so the slide out of my hair after a little while but some like loose ponytails. I didn't really like the headbands because they pop off my head. They work for holding my hair back while washing my face but don't stay in place much longer than that. I was hoping I could use them to hold my shorter hair in the front off my face during walks or other outside activities but they don't stay in place very long.4
I love to use these instead of other hair items to tie my hair back. They don't leave a crimp in my hair. & they are cute. I only don't care for the price. I found them for cheaper after buying them on here...5
These are great in your hair and on your wrist. I gave this as a gift because I love mine so much. These don't damage your hair, or your wrist.5
I'm okay with the Twistbands. Honestly, I'm fine with the ponytail bands - they hold my pony in place and don't pull my hair out when I take it out. What I'm NOT impressed with are the headbands - they slide around and don't stay put. Overall, though? They're okay and I was happy with the purchase.4
I ADORE these hair ties and hairbands - gentle on my hair, don't give me a headache, don't get tangled/tear my hair. Perfect.5
