Due to some sort of technical snafu, I missed out on the box that included a sampler of Twistbands, but they were so positively reviewed and so heavily promoted that I decided to spent some points to buy them. Big mistake. My slippery, flat hair just spits these bands (ponytail holders and headbands alike) right out, but they manage to pull hair with them. The color selection I got was pretty gross -- lots of weird beiges and strange fluoro colors reminiscent of the worst parts of my impoverished early nineties childhood, when most of my clothes shopping had to be done at Le K-Marche. The ugliest are the 'lace'-style bands, which have a lace print on one side, and a white background on the reverse. It's pretty difficult to ensure, when twisting these around your hair, that the white part isn't facing outward, and it gets visibly discolored pretty easily. Glad I used my points on these instead of real money, because they absolutely are not worth the dollar value assigned to them.
