This all-natural face wash and mask combines real African black soap—made from the ashes of plaintain and cocoa pods and prized by women around the world for its abilities to battle blemishes and the signs of skin aging—with rejuvenating South African rose hips oil to leave your face clean and refreshed. The formula is 100 percent natural, fragrance free, and gentle enough for those with sensitive skin.
I really did not like this product. It was very goopy and hard to even get out of the tiny bottle. It had an unpleasant smell and was not effective. I think it even made my skin break out even more. When I put the product on my face it felt sticky and when washed off it did not feel fresh or clean.1
I do think the product has a nice effect on the skin but I just can't get used to the gruesome color and smell.1
I've tried these products a few times. I don't think they're a good fit for my skin.1
I did not like this runny soap. It was so liquidy that it ran right into my eyes.1
This product was a little off-putting and i only gave it one shot. It has a dark, liquid consistency and smells a little like tar. Additionally, it felt slimy on my face. I'd rather use a different product. Thanks for a sample, though, Birchbox!1
I was excited to try this product because of all the good reviews that I read on it. Once I opened it I was surprised by the color and texture. I was apprehensive about trying it but I went ahead and did. I have to admit I was not pleased with the result. My skin did not look any better and I could not stand the smell!!!1
I did not care for this product. I felt like I was essentially washing my face with mud. And it caused a reaction on my skin - so, no help with battling blemishes or aging skin. I would not recommend this cleanser.1
This product seemed to work ok, but there were two things I didn't like 1) the color; I just couldn't get past putting a dark blackish product on my face to "cleanse" it. My skin just didnt feel clean. 2) I didn't like the fact that I couldn't immediately wash it off. I'm usually in a hurry when washing my face, and don't have time to let a product "set."
This stuff looks like soy sauce and is much too runny for a face cleanser, especially one meant to get deep into pores. The smell was so-so.1
I've used this a few times and each time it made my face red and burned a little. The last time I used it, my face was red and swollen for several hours. The redness was very patchy and streaky in several places. I left it on for about 7 minutes and noticed the redness and burning immediately after washing it off. I do not have particularly sensitive skin, but clearly my skin does not like this face wash.1
