This all-natural face wash and mask combines real African black soap—made from the ashes of plaintain and cocoa pods and prized by women around the world for its abilities to battle blemishes and the signs of skin aging—with rejuvenating South African rose hips oil to leave your face clean and refreshed. The formula is 100 percent natural, fragrance free, and gentle enough for those with sensitive skin.
I hated this cleanser. The scent reminded me of cheap hand soap from a grandma's bathroom and the texture became gritty and weirdly thick after the bottle had been opened. Yuck.1
I have never given a product one star before, but the Rose Hips Black Soap really deserves it. I received a sample, which was nearly impossible to get out of the bottle. The product is thick, almost tarry, and smells unpleasant. This product stung my skin and got in my eyes. This burned my eyes worse than ANY facial product I've ever used (including strong medicated washes for acne). I had to water it down just to get it to come out of the bottle. I used this product three times to give it a fair try, but experienced the same thing. No improvement in my complexion.1
I found this product hard to get out of the bottle. And it is so not fragrance free, I hated the smell.1
My mother was a heavy smoker. This stuff smells like her ashtray. Couldn't use it.1
How can anyone say this smells amazing?!?! I don't even know how well the product really works because I couldn't get passed the ashy, cigarette butt smell!! Gross1
I don't know if the black face wash throws me off a bit but I don't love this. It does not make my skin feel fresh, I have semi oily skin and i feel like this makes my face feel more oily!1
This was one of the worst cleansers I have used. The smell really through me off, and I didn't like how my skin felt afterwards. It didn't feel like I had cleansed at all. This might work well for someone else, but didn't agree with my skin.1
I had to throw it away after my husband asked what the bad smell was. It did not help diminish my blackheads.1
I found this product so thick that I couldn't get it out of the sample bottle to use it, which was disappointing. The smell was also very strong of charcoal. There are other black soaps that I much prefer.1
I used a majority of the sample I received and I personally would not purchase. It cleaned decently, but left my face feeling slimy and my face quickly became greasy shortly after washing. Thankfully it didn't cause any acne though.1
