This all-natural face wash and mask combines real African black soap—made from the ashes of plaintain and cocoa pods and prized by women around the world for its abilities to battle blemishes and the signs of skin aging—with rejuvenating South African rose hips oil to leave your face clean and refreshed. The formula is 100 percent natural, fragrance free, and gentle enough for those with sensitive skin.
I had to throw it away after my husband asked what the bad smell was. It did not help diminish my blackheads.1
I found this product so thick that I couldn't get it out of the sample bottle to use it, which was disappointing. The smell was also very strong of charcoal. There are other black soaps that I much prefer.1
I used a majority of the sample I received and I personally would not purchase. It cleaned decently, but left my face feeling slimy and my face quickly became greasy shortly after washing. Thankfully it didn't cause any acne though.1
This product broke me out so much, I was disappointed because I really wanted to like it. It cleansed my face well, and it did not make my oily skin produce more oil, BUT it caused me to have really bad painful cystic acne, so, this one wasn't for me.1
This product offered a unique texture/color/feel, so it would be good for those wanting to mix up their routine. However, the "tingly" feeling due to the effect of it removing dead skin might feel too strong for sensitive skin. As a person with sensitive skin, my skin was red for hours after the use and I would not recommend using this in the morning and before going out if have sensitive skin.1
I tried the product hoping to love it. It smelled weird and the color and texture were bizarre. My skin felt clean after but the consistency bothered me1
I have used this product twice, read the directions and seemed like a great natural product.
For my Fair skin I did not like the effect it caused on my skin. My face got Lobster red and would not go away for 2 next days. I would not advise anyone with fair skin to use this product.
This smell was absolutely awful I used it once and had to throw it away!1
Not only the first impression of a thick black tar-like cleanser disgusts you, but the smell is gross. I honestly have not tried the product because I'm having issues with how the product is presented. Who would want to put black smelly stuff on their face? Not me!1
I hate the smell. And the way that you have to apply it is weird, I don't want to let it sit on my face for several minutes. It made my skin break out, I will probably throw it away.1
