This all-natural face wash and mask combines real African black soap—made from the ashes of plaintain and cocoa pods and prized by women around the world for its abilities to battle blemishes and the signs of skin aging—with rejuvenating South African rose hips oil to leave your face clean and refreshed. The formula is 100 percent natural, fragrance free, and gentle enough for those with sensitive skin.
Not only the first impression of a thick black tar-like cleanser disgusts you, but the smell is gross. I honestly have not tried the product because I'm having issues with how the product is presented. Who would want to put black smelly stuff on their face? Not me!1
I hate the smell. And the way that you have to apply it is weird, I don't want to let it sit on my face for several minutes. It made my skin break out, I will probably throw it away.1
This was not easy to use for starters. It was hard to get out of the container and then didn't lather very well. After two uses my face dried up and it created more pimples! I've used charcoal masks in the last and had great luck but this I would not recommend.1
Hated this product! Did not like the smell and could not get it to stay on for the amount of time it suggested. It would just run off my face. Threw it away and won't be buying it!1
This was stinky, sticky, and nasty. The color was not appealing. I didn't like it. I don't really recommend it either.1
I wasn't able to use this sample because of the smell. When I opened the bottle, it made me gag. I had to throw it away.1
This facial cleanser had an odd smell and was runny. It never really dried on the skin, just stayed damp and didn't notice a difference after using this.1
I used this sample from August, finally, and woke up the following day with facial swelling and itching. In addition, my skin had become coarse and bumpy in texture. This is beyond the "tingling and redness" the bottle warns to expect but rather swelling to the extent that I could not open my eyes all the way (and no, I did not get any product in my eyes or even that close to my eyes). None of the listed ingredients are things I am known to be allergic to, but if you have any allergies, it is worth being aware that I have had this profoundly unpleasant experience. It may be a fine product for people who are not me.1
I don't feel like it did anything for my face. I was really hopeing to feel some tingle or notice a difference, but nothing. It has a different smell, good sample size. Overall not sure.1
I did not use this product--I can't get past the strong scent. I like that is is all natural, but it also seems to have quite a bit of oil in it.1
