This all-natural face wash and mask combines real African black soap—made from the ashes of plaintain and cocoa pods and prized by women around the world for its abilities to battle blemishes and the signs of skin aging—with rejuvenating South African rose hips oil to leave your face clean and refreshed. The formula is 100 percent natural, fragrance free, and gentle enough for those with sensitive skin.
this reminds me of a charcoal cleanser i use. different way of cleaning your face. works well.4
I was skeptical at first, and you have to set aside time to use it, but it makes your skin very soft and clean. Don't worry about the black color of the cleanser, it washes away.5
I've been using this a week now and my face is significantly less oily and my facer rarely breaks out now. I will be buying this for a long time.5
I was really hoping this would work miracles for my cystic/hormonal acne as some reviewers claim but it's hard to tell if this product is actually accomplishing much, especially in terms of exfoliation.3
I have heard great things about this cleanser, but I don't think it's really for me. It made my skin feel tight and didn't foam or lather when I was applying it, and my face still felt like it had residue on it after I rinsed it off. Overall, not my favorite cleanser, which is disappointing because I really wanted to love it.3
I wanted to love this. I could not keep it on my skin the recommended length of time.so I cannot really speak to its efficacy. It smelled too much like cheap motel/hotel soap.1
It's an interesting product. It made my skin very smooth. But it also made my eyes burn. This is not for me.2
Immediately after using this cleanser, my skin felt soft and smooth. I was psyched. The brand warns you that your face might be a little red after use, so I wasn't too concerned at first. But the redness and blotchiness didn't go away for nearly a week. In addition, a couple weeks after using this cleanser, my skin still burns any time I use face lotion with spf. I will definitely stay away from this product in the future.1
Appears to be quite effective at de-clogging pores. I have very oily, acne prone skin and this did appear to be helpful4
The hardest part for me was setting aside the 5-10 minutes for the product to dry on my face before washing. It didn't feel as gritty as I was expecting, but I did massage it all over my face until I looked like I was covered in dirt. It had a hint of licorice smell to it, which I didn't mind. I took my shower after waiting 10 minutes and rinsed it off (face felt tight) and used my regular cleanser afterwards. I've only used it once so far... no noticeable changes to my skin after day one, but I'm going to keep trying it out before deciding if I need this product.3
