The makeup experts at Sumita have created a versatile eyeliner that exceeds all our tough standards: sensational blending abilities, bold colors, and nonirritating formulas. The soft wax formula goes on smooth to create clean lines or can be smudged to smoky perfection. Plus, the long-lasting liner will hold up all day and night.
I typically wear neutrals or more of a smokey eye. Looks like there were different colors sent to the clients. I received an electric blue color. Too much for me, but the color really popped!1
I pressed this product to my eye and the product instantly broke. So disappointed; I really was excited for this.1
The only eyeliners I use are all Sumita, and I love them so much. This one sadly gave me a severe reaction - i had bloodshot eyes every time i used it. Tried on different days with no other changes to my beauty regimen. Sadly, just not the one for me.1
If it'd been maybe brown or black, I would have most definitely tried it and probably would have liked it. But, dark blue eyeliner is a little too much for my blond self. I gave it to my girls for drawing.1
Like lining your eyes with a bright blue crayola crayon, only one that smudges immediately and cannot be removed. I put some on, hated the way it looked and tried to take it off with eye makeup remover. It took 2 different (one Albolene cream) eye makeup removers with 10(!!!!) applications to half(!!) remove this hideousness. Immediately thrown out1
I wish the color I got was a more brilliant color. My skin is the same color as the sample I got1
I was surprised they sent me a blue eyeliner since I have brown eyes. I haven't actually had a chance to use it yet because the tip was broken off when it arrived.1
This eyeliner was a little difficult to use -- went on much heavier than the products I usually used. But more concerning, it was all over my face by noon. Literally, from my brown to my cheek bone. I tried it with and without primer. Pretty color, but it went into the garbage.1
My sample was a dark cobalt blue. It was far too loud between my pale skin and very neutral brown eyes. Also, while the pencil drew very nicely, it smeared quickly. I live in the desert, and us desert people sweat. Therefore, I need makeup that STICKS.
On the basis of the color and the smeariness, I am not a fan and do not plan to purchase a Sumita Contrast Eyeliner again. But, if you are into bold colors and have a mechanism to prevent the color smudging across your cheek and eyelid, this might be a great product for you.
Both my boyfriend's mother and I got this and we both had issues with it! Hers drifted under her eyes, and mine drifted up well past my eye lids. The color was nice but we both looked ridiculous by the end of the day.1
